But don't forget:

here in Europe (especially in Germany i.e.) the laws are much more harder then in the US.

We can only start balling from 18 years on, only 214fps are allowed, we pay much more for paint and stuff and we by far haven't as much fields as u have...

So with that disadvantages we can say, that europe is doing quite well ;)

And iirc, Joy hasn't any merc/us-pro in his roster...

Oh boy oh boy - that was the funniest thing ever.......:D :D :D

1. Again I simply ask: How do you know how much EVERY single euro team practise - or how hard for that sake?!

2. How can you even start to think you know the level of the euros without having seen the training sessions of all pro-teams + up- and coming teams?! ;)
1. Results.

2. Results. Use of US guests rather than homegrown talent.

Good points - that excuses Germany from ever being any good. Anyone else got any excuses for their countries?

AAAARRGH - I´m starting to think you need glasses!

Okay - I´ll try again - we agree that Joy these last few years have been trainign really hard and due to that are starting to get the results now, SO you claim that no other euro-team train as hard as them as of now and therefor never will get the same result - I then ask you how exactly you know how much each and every up- and coming team in Europe practise - and you answer "Results"?!??

Can I put it in any other way for you to understand - well maybe not - but I will try: How can you claim that us in Europe will never get as good as the US-teams in the future based on how we train now, when you don´t know how the most euro-teams actually DO practise and how hard?

Is that more clear to you?:p

And I'm starting to think you are being wilfully dim...:p

Read what I have said, it's not complex....I have not ever said anything about how Euro teams wil do in the future, have I?

As for results and practice - well, I think you can make tha connection there for yourself.

I love this...all this is based on what? A dream you had? A bedtime story from your mom?
Based on the basis the US teams have. Better sponsorings, better training conditions, less cash for more paint and stuff. More public support for Paintball then any other country.

And I repeat myself, Reballs will help a lot (as they are used so often during the Winter time) to help the European teams getting better.

You are only looking for results? How can you refer on results if European and US teams are not competing? Beside Joy and Nexus playing the NPPL?

TJ:

This thread asked the question "are Euro teams getting better?"

- Meaning - is the gap to the US teams closing.

You argued that it is not - that it is actually widening.

Now - as my sister is pointing out, the succes Joy is enjoying, all with homegrown talent, is a result of a 3 year process, that a LOT of other Euro teams are also doing, albeit being earlier in the process.

Now you suddenly say, that you are NOT saying anything about future results - and is calling her dim?

Well - pray tell - if the gap to US teams is widening, how is that NOT an outlook on the future???

- or are you implying that Joy is an exception (no wait - MAYBE Menace too... and in a couple of months MAYBE the Tontons - and a few months further on MAYBE the Ducks...... you see where this is going buddy ? ;))

We are soon down from five to one euro team in NPPL. That speaks for itself.

Usually this "we are going to train three times a week" is more pub talk than reality. Which teams have been really training more than once a week regularly?
