Are Euro teams getting better?

But - a few years ago noone considered them world-class - but loads and loads of hard work MADE them exactly that, and I do believe a lot of the euro teams are following them in taking their training much more serious - and yeah off course actually traing more than once a week (which will never get a team in any top-3 !).....

So if Joy got there by now, what is keeping others from getting their as well? ;)

Others don't train as hard and often and smart as joy.

Joy doesn't field US players.

There's a good start for you.

There is nothing intrinsic to being European that should stop other teams doing what Joy has done, but tha fact is none of them are, except maybe Menace.

How do you know how often ALL of the teams in Europe practise?!

Why not just accept the fact that a team that trains hard and have some talented players, like Joy - based almost anywhere in the world - would have a chance of making it into top-3 in the US!

Off course financial back-up has a saying in it as well - but based on talent and training anyone could be as good as the best in the world!

At least that´s my thorough belief!!!!!

I do accept that. Where have I ever said otherwise? I - and all the NPPL Euro players on this thread - have merely questioned your dad's opinion that tha Euro Pros are improving in realtion to tha Americans.

He thinks they have, everyone else thinks they haven't (with tha notable exception of Joy and perhaps Menace - hopefully we'll find out when they play over here).

Oh boy oh boy - that was the funniest thing ever.......:D :D :D

Again I simply ask: How do you know how much EVERY single euro team practise - or how hard for that sake?!

Only by knowing that you could actually generalise and suggest if they will ever reach the world top - same as claiming no euros have an honest way of knowing the us-level without seeing them play "live"! Same same.... How can you even start to think you know the level of the euros without having seen the training sessions of all pro-teams + up- and coming teams?! ;)

If sponsoring and infrastructure (sites and halls) is getting better and better, Europeans will beat Americans.

Of course paintball isnt really big in Europe compared to the US. But there are already a lot of great teams (also in D1) who could beat some of the semi-pro US teams...

For Germany there is another big thing. You are allowed to play Paintball when you turned 18. In the US they are starting by 10. A lot of time to get reeally good!

Well - you can add about 10 other Scandinavian teams to that equation - and probably a fair amount of french and german teams too.

Maybe the problem with this debate is, that a lot of the people having it, have a distinctively "british" outlook?

I think I better leave that one alone - and on a COMPLETELY unrelated note, I'm now off to get a facial treatment :D:D:D
