These push in fittings started on the shocker, and they were capable of handling the pressure from the low pressure maxflow reg, but as you say, people became complacent and started using the higher rated hoses on the low rated fittings, on higher pressure guns, and that's where the problem lies.
so is it ALL the push fitting that are about that are crap or just some?
for example how do the ones planet sell rate?

Guys give me a few days as i'm still trying to get a better price, they are more expensive than the older ones but i'm working on that one.

My e-mail address is i2i@ntlworld.com

Mobile number is 07791011037

Feel free to phone or ask any questions about the fittings and hoses, believe me over the last month, i have tested every fitting available to man or woman. I still see them in my sleep.

Again Iain, good luck in the future.

exactly

plastic pipe and fitting might well do the job on low pressure systems but the ever increasing use of preset regs with fixed output pressure of around 800 psi it just aint good enough..

wont go into detail cos im not allowed but my marker i had at the time runs ultra low pressure 140 psi ish so double stage reging is a must. never put more than 400 psi from the first to the second reg. not think that if you have a simular set you'll be ok, because sumin can go wrong . I KNOW

In answer to Jahlad ther eare basically three types of push in fittings :

1. all plastic construction, working pressure of around 150 psi

2. All metal construction, I.E. "sprint" working pressure of 230 psi

3. New all metal construction, working pressure 900 psi

The third type are the fittings i supply.

Big difference between 2 and 3

I don't want to condemb a suppliers products, but all push in fittings prior to this new range are not safe, on guns which use a pressure above 230 psi.

Iain, these fittings are manufactured by a massive company in the pneumatics field, and have been rated at 900 psi working pressure (60 bar). They are guaranteed to handle 900 psi.

Boy...talk about misreading a thread...

I saw the air hose part, but also saw airlines and must have construed it as a problem with an air hose on an airline...heh.

But, anyway, I think braided hoses are the way to go. I've seen TOO many microlines burst in my time.
