from the outside this seems like the ppl who make the rules are just giving up to spare themselvs the stress of trying to stop ppl cheating.

there are speed limits on roads for a reason, they are to try and make them safer places. Now as the police you are never ever EVER gonna stop everybody speeding but you dont just give up and make the limit 70mph on every road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THATS INSANE!!!!

I really wish it were april and this was a joke cos at the moment its scary. ITS DANGEROUS!!!!! i wait for the day when a kid gets 15 in the head while being mugged and dies or summit like that, cos this rule is a time bomb!

i dont have the answer to the cheat problem but changing the rules to make it not cheating is not the right answer......

...........and 15+ bps isnt that hard.

:
No but speed limits are easy to enforce, sorry the analogy doesn't work.

I was just thinking about performance enhancing drugs, in the olympics for example. They are having on going problems with this, but they are still trying.

However, I can't think what to try for paintball. How are things working in the NPPL? Are they having problems?

Speed cameras are not cheatable.

We have been going about it arse-backwards: find a rule you can enforce and go from there: the current rules are simply not enforceable - not due to lack of will or laziness, technology has evolved past them.

Everyone crying about this needs to get their priorities sorted: no level playing field = no sport. At the moment there is zero possibility of a level playing field.

oh but they are Snooper Radar Detectors and slowing down near a speed camera

:p

TFP Says:

1. Which are illegal I believe, and detectable. You are just extending the argument one more stage, not rebutting it.

2. Again, the point remains.

Having never martialed and never actually played in a tourny i am enclined to say frankly do not both with this rule, more agro will come from it. Instead of paying out for radar bps counters pay more martials and make them test markers for bounce ramping, cos frankly is this not more bother than its worth?
(again, im not that experianced so dont bite my fecking head off)

which is a bit like setting on ure gun, make it fine when checked by marshal but add the helping aid when past the chrono

i for one learnt the highway code :p
MUAHAHAHA

see i was right, i think it was a good example:D

to cheat both is puts people in danger, and you are never going to stop people speeding cos they will just slow down for the camera.

AND!!!!!!!!!!!! people will cheat to get past this rule!!!! like have modes that will fire 18 in a game but 15 when tested or something......

..........IN SIX MONTHS TIME YOU WILL BE BACK TO SQUARE ONE!!!!!!

So you'd rather keep a set of rules that practically can not be enforced? Doesn't hanging grimly on to a set of rules that you can't police just make everyone look a bit silly? Is that not just having rules for the sake of having them?

If evolving the rules to take into account new developments and advances in technology is not the answer then what is?

I think your reaction is somewhat OTT. On what grounds do you base your asessment that this is "DANGEROUS" or is a "time bomb"? For what exactly? "Some kid dies..." my god, what bed time stories were you told as a child?

Alarmist comments like this do little to help. If you have some hard and fast evidence that this proposed rule is dangerous or could in anyway cause someones demise then be so kind as to present your case in reasoned manner and I'll listen to it.

How exactly are these marshals going to catch hidden Cheat boards?

Also the current tests are acknowledged as being completely subjective, and a human couldn't prove or identify a marker that was adding shots in a subtle manner!

So no, this is a fairly worthy attempt at levelling the field and promoting paintball as a Sport.
