I think this is a positive safety step, and one that does resolve many of the problems faced when trying to catch gun cheats. The present Trigger Bounce, FA checks only ever catch the ignorant or stupid who can't set-up a gun properly, not those with designer or custom cheat boards. If this rule can be enforced (with the correct equipment), and is non-subjective it's a good thing. No ones ever going to admit to being a cheat, but I bet a whole load of players know they are getting a little extra help from their guns, even if it's just subtle. Subjective testing and / or complete avoidance of the Chrono marshal (ghosting), will effectively be a thing of the past if they allowed BPS ramping to a set level. Accepted this may make running & gunning easier, but the "shooting fast is a skill" line is a bit of a crock. Players who concentrate on ripping fast strings "legally" are so intent on doing so they get tunnel visioned and then done like a punter. Whether these players change and become more aware and this changes the nature of the game is too early to tell, but I think it will force players to be more creative and thinking when playing.
