And what is the chances that Stockholm will be snow'd in in febuary and we all get stuck in traffic ????

I bet the rentalcars could look funny after 1000 paintballers go crazy in the snow :)

THE AVAILABILITY OF THE VENUES!!
What? No venues in portugal in March? I may have misunderstood your post, but can you please shed some light as to why on earth put the southernmost venue in August? BY the way, have you ever considered ending the series later in the year?

peace out

Pedro has moved his event to Madrid. He had scheduled Easter, As had Manfred.

Due to the difficulties Manfred had in moving Pedro agreed to move to another date. But he could only take the venue when it was available.

So in was down to circumstance not choice.

I do think that common sense must prevail though . Pedro should be made aware of the opinion you guys have.

I have phoned him and told him. He is looking at his options.

Thanks.

Steve...

First, Steve I dont want to move Joy masters beacuse I want vacation! You should know that and you shouldnt go in a public forum saying this. Especially after we have been talking about the reasons Joy Masters need to be moved!

You know the reasons very well, so why are you suddenly forgetting that and talking about my vacation?
I seem that you also changed your mind about having the Joy Masters in Jan/Februari as you came in to this very forum and cheered the change of venue a year ago?

But for everybody else here is the reasons for moving Joy Masters.

1. Lack of teams, we have been doing Joy masters for the last 4 years and cant get more than 65 teams. Holding the event between Toulose and Campaign cup is a big factor and teams tend to stay home for the lack of time and money.

2. spreading out the series, This will hopefully make it easier for teams to attend more events as its 5 month after campaign and 2 month before Germany.

3. Joy Center closed, We have our staff free during february so we can concentrate on Joy Masters.

Regarding the problems having a event in February in Stockholm.
Driving isnt a problem as the streets are cleaned and taken care of by the city. You may need to slow down a bit, thats all.
Everything else work just fine as Sweden is very used to cold weather and noone need to worry about icebears in the street either..
Party and clubs are even more busy as everyone is at clubs instead of outdoor.
Skiing, snowboarding and skating is easy acces if you want to combine paintball with other activities.
Flights are about 60 % cheaper during winter compare to august.
Hotels are 50-70% cheaper

So I think the benifits are huge!

That´s great Niall!
Hopefully you can change the schedule around a bit then.

But still, have you ever considered having the season ender a month later or so?

I played paintball one time in Chicago a few years back when the temperature was 36 deg Celsius, it was a frikkin nightmare, one of the most unenjoyable experiences of my paintball life I must say.
It just sapped the will to play let alone enjoying playing.
Now this was a one off and the temperatures that year weren't expected.
If Pedro is electing to go to Madrid at that time of year then this is completely disregarding the players who might attend because it is almost certain that temperatures are going to make the whole experience a very uncomfortable one to say the least.

Temperatures in Madrid can easily exceed 36 deg C at that time of year.

He needs to reconsider very quickly indeed especially after what happened at last year's Pedro's production.
It's going from the raining pan into the fire !!!!!

There is however another Millennium event in Alicante in November, seems to me a much more sensible option for the paying customer...just my opinion you understand :)

This should not be about what suits Pedro but what suits the player or am I missing something ?

Is this confirmed? And if there will be a Millennium event in November, that must be the season ender then right? (otherwise the points can not be counted...)

Around 48ºC last year.

If this is true then there is no way a paintball tournament should be held in those type conditions...end of.....no excuses......find another frikkin venue !!!!!
