Hello All
I have been in paintball since the mid 80s seen it all done most I run a site and like to make sure the industry gets as many grass roots players as possible.
I am not a mate of Tims or Andy Sables or Pete although I have met them all I just think this can be solved as far as the venue is concerned.
I have no vested interest in this argument at all and no axe to grind, I do have some good connections through friends in the armed forces ex and still serving, to this end I made one phone call after hearing about this thread to find out if Sennybridge was due to stage a Paintball event.
Fact is anyone can call Sennybridge they have a listed number under defence estates and you can ask about the use of defence property they wont tell you about any excercises but will answer genuine questions as a rule.
I called a mate serving Army he made a quick call and spoke to the Commandant at Sennybridge who confirmed that Shoreline had booked the site for the said weekend in question and he also said that due to last minute training need being scheduled the base was no longer able to be used. He also said that the MOD gave Shoreline good notice that it would have to move to another date,he did not say how much notice just good notice.
So its fair to say that the event was booked and as to the rest refunds etc thats a different subject, dont bombard me with questions as I dont have specific answers just what I have said here.

I don't think there is any real doubt over whether it was booked or not but thankyou for your contribution.
I believe the gripe is over the refund. I can see both sides, Sennybridge is a completely unique EXPERIENCE and that's what people were flying in from across the globe for and it's what the major selling point for the event was. The EXPERIENCE. Holmsbush by all accounts is an excellent, even outstanding venue but it's not the same experience that people were expecting, it's a bit more hassle travel wise for some people.
I'm sure it will still be an excellent event, I'd say it's more down to the fact that a crowd of people with a common interest getting together in one place.
