Planet Piper away from you freaks!
Guys

Ok guys it has been one year since the first ever XBall tournament. So the point of this thread is, what has changed in a year?
Would we still have the original USA XBall team or the orginial England Team, French or Swedish (bit difficult that one cos they only have a small pool of players).
In other words, pick your players for say, the US and or UK teams, have fun :)

Now keep in mind that the posts are each person's opinion, so if they match your's, all well and good, if they don't then don't start flaming people!

Now play nicely and let's have a good debate!

I have just spoken to Pete Martin (Tigers) and he said and I quote " I cannot get on to post, but I want Robbo to post first then I will reply tonight! But Robbo you are older than me so age before beauty"

I feel I should not have posted this as I maybe stuck in the middle. Which is not a good place to be between these two heavy weights!

Here is what i think anyway

Watching some of the Euro X-ball legs, they seem to be a bit boring. Some teams really sit back and after the first couple of games are out the way. The games themselves become very repetitive.

Saying that when Miami and the Ironmen played in Toulouse they were pretty exciting to watch.

If i was to select my own US X-Ball team i would go for

Jon Richardson
Chris La Soya
Tyler Michaud
Alex Fraige
Ryan Greenspan
Oliver Lang
Kenny Klamper
Jon Marques
Zach Long
Todd Martinez

As for an English team

mmmmmm? i think i will pass on that, alot of talent to choose from shall we say

Chris Schooling- Kelly's
Jimmy the Sponge- Shockwave
Nick Truter - Nexus
Colby Keats - Shockwave
Sam Keats - Method
Jamie Abbott- Nexus
Tom Pemberton- Nexus
Matt Schmidt - Shockwave
Warren Maxwell- Tigers
Gareth Sykes- Tigers

Having seen the majority of the guys in the UK play at some stage this season, this would be my squad of ten, emphasis on youth, balanced out by some guys who have experience all over the world.

Manike who is the UK guy?

We got a good look at Nexus in Toulouse, and I reckon that Nexus should simply be the x-ball team.
Watching those dudes play, they're wasted on 7 man.
They play like American teams, not Europeans.

A lot of people were asking why Nexus weren't playing x-ball in Toulouse. I'm aware that there is a whole political can of worms here, and if you can separate that out, I think it's pretty obvious that these boys should have been playing x-ball this year.

Not to take anything away from Tigers and Shockwave, cause you guys did a fantastic job this year, and deserve praise for your efforts.

As for an American team:

Alex Fraige- Dynasty
Ryan Greenspan- Dynasty
Oliver Lang- Dynasty
Todd Martinez- Aftershock
Brian Cole- Dynasty
Jon Richardson- Effect
Chris La Soya- Effect
Nicky Cuba- Aftershock
Yosh Rau- Ironmen
Brandon Lambertson- Effect

Seemed to me in Toulouse that Nexus were playing with a cross between Russian Legion's Technical abilities, and American flair and freestyling ability.

Sam:)
