But the facts remain the facts, and even if I can't prove intent, I can prove that the probability of pulling off a solo stunt like this is low WITHOUT any outside help / knowledge.
And that is where your whole house of cards falls down.

1) what do you regard as the absolute"facts" ?? - Other than "He did it" just about everything else has been reported differently somewhere along the line. TJ demonstrated that there are many things here which people who where actually there view differently, let alone you on the end of a net connection.

2) You keep saying this would be difficult to pull off as a solo stunt. What is so difficult about leaving your team and doing something you want to. Nothing he did was difficult in the slightest, just not what is considered "normal" behaviour.

It's Salm's motive that needs explaining, then the rest falls into place.

Like I said - ask questions, we all have either on or off these boards, but just quit with the holier than thou bit that you know everything and no one will change your views.

Speculate - not state! ..... please :)

'Skuse me? Envious of what? I'm not going to let you change the topic here simply becasue you're trying to slam ME. Seems to me that, frankly, your'e defending hte NPPL to the death simply becasue "Tyger is attacking it." Which I'm not.

Look, you can NOT convince me this was a solo act. Period. I know who can, and they won't.

No, it's more like a deaf person commenting on a symphony performance.

In less technical terms, it's like an instrument being either in or out of tune. It's not wrong by measure but right by difference of opinion. It's either in tune or it's wrong and it's annoying to continue to hear it.
Beehthoven was deaf near the end of his career. He composed while deaf too. Deaf people can enjoy music as well, becasue they can feel the vibrations of music being played. No, I'm not picking and choosing, I'm simply stating that the deaf CAN comment on symphonic music.

I'll also ignore the insult, and simply state that I can also say that many people here are blinded by their devition to the tournament play and will believe ANYTHING they're told as long as it makes everyting "ok" again.

Well, I do.

1: In you look at the 'reports', there are three main sources I've been using. Warpig, p8ntballer and paintball.com. Of those three, p8ntballer.com is not biased, paintball.com is owned by Greg Hasitings who plays on GZ, and Warpig tries to make everyone happy. There's an old addage that ther's three sides to every story. "Yours", "Mine" and "The truth." If you read everything, there are many points to which they all agree that goes beyond "Salm did it."

2: So you're saying that a teammate, your team captain, says he's too sick to play (or just benches himself), and doesn't show up to coach, watch, or otherwise be there for the team, you wouldn't be suspicious? I maintain that his team not only knew, but helped him pull it off. I've already said this.

Now as for his motive. Well, if he releases a tear-jerking reply appologising to his team I won'tbuy it. Best I can hope for is to go back to his family, friends, hotel employees, and so on. I can't afford to do that, or hire a guy to do that. So I'm stuck to gleaning a motive based on reactions and public faces. Hard to do.

As far as asking questions, I tried, and got stonewalled. It's gonna be shuffled under teh rug, once again, and the same old problems will keep going on. And in the end, Salm's motive won' tmatter becasue we'll still be playing paintball to an audience of ourselves.

You want big time? Get used to this.

Another opinion, posted from IPR by a GZ Gold player.

I'm adding this to the melee here because it's also posted publicly over at IPR. It's signed by Matt, a GZ gold player. There's two posts by Matt, and they're copied below.

all i have to say it was a fun game...we were up 10 to 6, and we had all the 50's and were in the process of crossing them and bunkering some bitches when scott gets shot out of the center, then pete out of the dorito, then 2 more guys out of the middle, and then he tried to shoot our back guy closes to him(back left corner), and the ref was watching and wiped him off, then he shot the ref and anthony say jeremy in the woods, he yelled"there he is", and pete jumped the fence with his pack and mask on and ran him down , about 2 miles later jeremy gave up and broke down like a bitch, started crying so pete didnt kick his ass(yes he was unhurt)... this pretty much ****ed us out of the semis(cuz this gave weaker teams that would have lost games a max, because lanhce was kicked out, so we were bumped out)... cuz we were kickin the **** out of lanche and the only way they could turn it around was to shoot like 5 of us in about 10 seconds, and we still took it down to a 2 on 1 then, we were playin very well that game, and if we didnt get mind ****ed we would have maxed the rest of our games, except our heads werent in it and we lost to a ****ty team we never should have lost a body to, oh well....i still cant believe it happened, hes done with...like pete was saying
YOU CANT CHEAT US!!!

oh yeah, poorman denies the whole thing....**** that they knew and we know they knew. him, lasoya and a bunch of the other core guys knew, the ony person i know was innocent was rocky...so spread the word bout wut really happened, cuz just sitting at the finals the next day i got a story that said it was GZsilver and salm had a tippmann(he used a matrix)..pce

k, first of all, if any of you actually know jeremy salm, hes the biggest b*tch youll ever know, hes one of does dorks who would NEVER do anything like this by himself, he doesnt have enought balls..second, lanche doesnt take **** from anyone(usaully), but after this game, some of us were yelling right in their faces, about how they were f'ing cheaters, and yelling to the crowd"way to cheat lanche"... they did nothing and just walked away, some said **** you or something. i remember what lasoya said to scott and albert "hey, it wasnt me"... if my team was accused of sniping from the woods i would be over there proving them wrong if i didnt know anyhting about it, but most of them just walked straight off the field, not saying a word, trying desperatly to get the score sheet signed, but our captain wouldnt sign it...bottomline salm wouldnt risk everyhitng for no reason, they probably did this before, because this time salm just did it overly sloppy, cuz they were prolly use to not getting caught, they thouth it would never happen, i mean they shot 5 of us in like 10-15 seconds, and all blatently.. they were even shooting the refs... i KNOW and so does everyone else on my team that he didnt act alone, i mean who would wake up one day and say "hey, i think im guna tell my captain im sick, and snipe people from the woods this game"..i dont think so... you dont do **** on lanche without letting a few people know like poorman and lasoya...thats y..pce

Just another "Perspective" from someone who was there. I have another member to thank for showing me this, and if he wants the recognition he can claim it. I leave that to him.

2 Miles eh?

So it took 10 minutes to run him down?

Wait, no, paintball players...

So it took 20 minutes to run him down, and 30 more to walk him back?

And the guy saw this? Through the woods?

Maybe he meant 100 yards....

Honestly though, I think the whole thing is one big conspiracy. Everyone knows a pro would never cheat.

Mother, is that you?
Only thing Nick, if this was a misdemeanor in another sport - footy for example - then the team would take the responsibility whether they knew about it or not and probably be fined or deducted points.

Question is, has the punishment matched the crime?
