Sam,
All of those teams are novice by Millennium Standards.
SPOD beat skulls on sunday so they're DEFINATLY novice!
(sorry skulls, but we did win).

None of these teams have any chance in Am B, not with Method, and Wombles kicking about.

Naw i think those guys are fine where they are.

Yeh but Ya have to say like sjt19 some of them shouldnt be in novice, cause there will be some new team just starting as a team and if they get hit with any of them teams they might get there asses handed to them on a plate ....

sam,
Red Heat are a novice team. They did enter campaign last year but the team has changed since then.
were not good enough to move up to am b this year are working hard to move up next year. however a personaly think nitro, a few good men and topcats should be am b. i just think these teams are a bit too good for novice.

anyway where's my dye cleats.
see u there

My point exactly, they are nowhere near a rookie team, new to the sport, look at the sponsors you have and the events they have played over the year. And everyone always has an excuse as to why they should be in the nov section dont they........new players.......no training....untested team......this is the whole reason why we lag behind the rest of Europe and the US....teams are to content to take the easy option rather than push themselves. (There are exeptions obviously). *(THIS IS NOT A DIG AT RED HEAT, NEIL JUST PROVED MY POINT THATS ALL)

Most of the teams that played Nov last year at Campaign should be in the Am B section.

I have a real problem with the way that the sections have been named, Am A, Am B...why?

It would have been far clearer to have:

Pro
Am
Nov
Rookie

As the nov level of the MS is really for Rookie teams. Just because it is your first event in the MS this year, it will nt be the first time a team has played the cup. If the level was renamed 'rookie'then we would see a lot less sandbagging as teams would get a true appreciation of what it is there for.

But then again.....i guess it is clear fromthe list which UK teams are keen on self improvement and determined to compete at a high standard....and those intent on having an easy ride and nopt pushing themselves to the limit. On reflection it is a great idea to have no prizes for the nov section, because the only teams that ever winit are those who are generally sandbagging anyway. What are the odds that those teams that are sandbagging bomb out of the event giving us all a good laugh?

Lets not forget Illusion.

Is this not the same team that beat Shockwave AND Ducklings at Simply The Best recently?

Sorry to lay the boot in lads but come on! New players maybe, but your team is not THAT different!

sand baggin

i think illusion have changed there team dramaticly and most have have move to team phoenix i don't know what division there playin in but it can't be novice.
we (cp red) played topcats ,a few good men and a few others at m25 cobham a these guys are not a novice team.
if teams want to stay in novice division to win something its up to them, but how are they ever going to improve there game if you dont play better teams or know how good they are by playing better teams

and sam wheres my cleats, i thought you were going to try to get hold of some.

Is there any kind of tracking or identification procedure for these events? I would imagine that they would do something like the PanAm ID cards in the circuit. In addition, allow teams to stay in a division as long as they want (although once they are dominating they can be asked by event cordinators to move up). If the ID cards identify the player's division it would be simple to assign something like "Only novs in nov division, 2 amA players in amB, 2 pro players in amA," and of course "All players are allowed to play pro." Of course, once you move up that's your division and you can't go back down unless you've been inactive on the circuit for a certain ammount of time. I think a system like this would clear up a lot of the sandbagging problems you guys are talking about, especially with teams under an old name. The biggest problem with it is a team that dominates for a whole year. This might wipe out a whole year's chance of winning for the other teams because of one extraordinary team that plays for the whole year before they are asked to move up.

Novice Division

From looking at the M25 / S2k3 and MM Divisions............ I can see up to 5 teams that play in Division A and a further 14 teams that play in Division B

I personally would class some of these teams as AM B and some as AM A
