Yes, and don't spell really like that - you're not working for Gay Times anymore.

what about.....

What about the old "NOVOtel" marker. At least I think that was the name of it.
I think it had a moving breach, so was that open or closed bolt.
It was apparently the first and possibly the onl one of its kind.

I've just worked out what SFT stands for...

When someone asks you about the importance of closed bolt guns and what SFT means you can reply...

"Shut the F*ck up Twat"...

:D

Hehehe I'm bad, I know it.

I'll get my coat.

Dye Precision Inc and Generation E Sports LLC are pleased to announce an agreement has been reached, where by Dye Precision has acquired the rights to develop, manufacture and distribute the Matrix paintball marker. Both Dye and Generation E will maintain distribution and technical support of the most sought after paintball marker in the sport of paintball.
from the Dye press release.
Airtech and all that is still owned by Procaps, as far as i'm aware.
Dye is only lisencing the rights to produce the Matrix.

Please feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

What i'm getting at though, is there are some pretty strong alliances being formed here in the wake of the smart parts patent law suits.

Isn't Airtech part of the guys that sold up to Paul Sattler and Gen E?

I know when Paul got the gun they pretty much had to start from scratch and didn't get the CAD or anything, They had to have it reverse engineered to get parts made (explains some of the tolerance issues that happened).

I know Richmond finally has nothing to do with it.

Dye now owns the IP (Intellectual property) associated with the Matrix, i.e. the Patent and the know how. It's not a licencing deal from what I gather.

I'm not convinced the alliances you alude to are currently in existence... what the future holds... is anyone's guess!
