Good point

Good point, anyone getting into my house, would have too deal with my pet monsters(kids) and guard dog(wife).
Trust me, if she didnt kill them, the kids would.!!!!!

So what you are saying is, we need to stop them first, and then resolve the issues second.
I can live with that. But what makes us better than them?
If we MAKE them change the way in which they live, are we no better than them.?
How do we stop them?. In Northen Ireland we could not win, And we had half the population on our side!!!

About the rock and hard place......Thats what we elect our people for. Its up to them to find a way through, and use force, only as a last resort.

I do not see the comming war, as an answer. I think it will only lead to more "freedom fighters" and terrorist acts.
I will support the war, but do not think we will win.

We certainly do have quite a delimma when it comes to the problem of terrorism (The US that is). We have a battle that cannot be won, yet one we cannot avoid.

When....

Ok, so we go in and kick his arse, leaving a puppet gov. in place.
How are you going to stop the freedom fighters from creating the bloodbath that was Northern Ireland?
And when do you stop?
Who will be the next country you have to invade, cause there is plenty to put right.
Better to set limits, before we go in.

What's all this about a puppet government as if anything that happens after Saddam is gone is somehow illegitimate? Did the U.S.install Hamid Kharzi in Afghanistan?

What freedom fighters? Are you somehow supposing that there is some substantial loyal base that will demand a return to brutal dictatorship after Saddam is deposed? The real issue, and the one that caused the U.S. to leave Saddam before is how much chaos results in the power vacuum until things are sorted out. I expect something like a UN presence trying to maintain some order and orderly assumption of some kind of representative government though that poses problems too because the people have no clue--just look at Russia's trials over the last decade even with institutions in place.

You stop when there is no longer any organized world-wide terrorist organizations. (Note I didn't say no terrorists.) Part of the presumption in dealing with Saddam is that it will give other states that offer support pause to reconsider the potential cost if they keep doing it. Right now there is no cost.

At a guess I think the most productive next step would be to insist Syria and Isreal get out of Lebanon.

What we want is world peace.......

I Sound like a miss world contestant.

I agree with what you are saying, But i do not think it will be as simple, or stright forward as you think.

You also have to get backing from the U.N.

Tony Blair comes from a little place near where i live, he dosnt pop round for tea, or anything. I do not trust this man, and a lot of people think the same. Only reason he is P.M. is cause hes got no competition. He will go along with any idea from the U.S.

And i still think you will make a martyr out of him.

We arready understand why certain Arabs want us dead. They are evil people, therefore must be killed. It is either them or us.

Clinton should have ended Iraq the first time the weapons inspectors were kicked out. Now Bush is going to do the job and the whole world will be better off.

The measage needs to be sent that you don't f*(K with us and it needs to be loud and clear.

If the U.N. doesn't like it, who cares. They are not the superpower, we are.

Our belief in the fundamental rights of all men are what make us better than them.

The only reason our troops are still there, is we arnt having a lot of bodys, and blood, on the T.V.
Very true, the moment we started taking casulties, we (and by we I don't mean me, I mean the US armed forces) pulled out of Mogadeshue (spelling?)

On a side note: What the hall are you people doing in N. Ireland anyway?
