What's wrong with Dynasty?

I think its a testament to what Dynasty have accomplished that this thread even exists. However you feel about the sellout to SP you cannot argue with what they have accomplished. I don't think anything is wrong with them other than the inability to rebound from a loss. As a team that rarely loses, this string of results must be devastating. If they panic and get away from what got them this far, they will continue to lose. If they get their heads out of their asses and focus on the game, they will win again. Maybe it was a mistake to switch to the shocker, but how many events did they win with them? It's still more than Arsenal and their Uber-Angels.

Just to be pedantic... :p

My money is on the crossbow: compared to an arquebus it has superior range, accuracy, rate of fire, and since arquebuses are generally matchlocks, the crossbow will be less effected by rain, especially if using metal-stringed crossbow, although that's generally referered to as an arbalest.

I'll fetch my coat. :)

EDIT ADDED: majority of crossbows in use during early gun age were lighter and less effective against plate armor hence the fact armies continued to outfit elements with crude gunpowder weapons instead of fabulous crossbows. Even Euros don't replace an effective weapon with a less effective one.

Now if you wish to question "effectiveness" there were a variety of related factors in the gun's favor; minimal user training required, cheaper and easier to produce projectiles, battlefield morale and psychology, etc. that all considered in mass manuevers of armed men relegated your crossbow to the dust bin of history.

Give Arsenal Their Due

Dynasty has been on the top of the Millennium-series for two years now. We have won every tournament in the Millennium since Campaign 2002. Eventually every streak has to come to and end. We definitely didn't want that to happen.
We went to the tournament with a burn out attitude. Alot of the guys were tried of traveling as much as we have.
No blame falls on anyone but us. Arsenal played better in the final two games.

The last two events have really hit the team hard. We are refocusing and will finish the year out strong. We are currently holding first place in all the leagues and will not lose or hold on those positions. However most teams don't have another 5 majors to go to plus asia and other events.

The leagues got tougher. Why is it so hard to believe? Dynasty had a performance edge on everyone (that they were playing) but lost that edge over time. In retrospect, it seems like SP took a real risk getting behind a team with such a long streak- nothing lasts forever.
