What's wrong with Dynasty?

I don't know what paint they were shooting, but I know what I saw. And that was a Dynasty player bunkering someone and this someone being clean afterwards. Not once, but many times...

Sometimes you get a bad batch of paint. They didn't have those problems in Germany or Toulouse as far as I could see.

Surely you are joking,

If Dynasty win it is because they are the best and nothing to do with the equipment they use. If they lose it is because of the guns/paint, both of which were blamed after the loss to Arsenal in Madrid. If you add in the Refs you have a full quota of the usual paintball excuses for losing.

If you think the guns make a difference then they make a difference either way. If it is the players 100% then it is that in both instances. Whatever you think does not change the results though.

By the way Baca, my recollection of the facts is that Dynasty won for 2 years with no eye's, then added some new boards and eyes, and THEN became unhappy with the guns. I heard they used to take them to the WDP techs to fix and the techs used to have no chance as the parts and electronics were not factory parts.
They lost fewer events in the 3 years they were Angel than in the last 7 months when they are not. Argue the reasons for this all you like, make all the comparisons you want to, but the results tell the story, and it is irrefutable.

Also, having tough paint that bounces during bunker moves, AND having paint oozing out of your barrel does not point to a problem with the paint. A tough ball should fire through anything so long as it is not too big for the barrel. I assume Dynasty have a full collection of sized barrels, so there isn't an issue there. If this tough paint is getting blended in the gun then is it reasonable to suggest it is a fault of the gun? I think so. If anyone disagrees lets hear your theory.

There is no hate here, just reason and conjecture, neither of which could be veiwed as bashing anyone, unless anyone wants to get all hypersensitive on me.....

If they had just said they 'didn't play well enough' we wouldn't be having this discussion, and as the post is called "whats wrong with Dynasty" surely we are being asked to give our opinions. I think we should be able to do this without being labelled as 'haters', don't you? huh?, you think?,...........huh?

sorry about the long post - got carried away...

Lost your sense of humor, have you, ITN? Or else you don't really understand much about PB culture. Nothing wrong with being a hater. :)

You are always welcome to offer your opinion.

Seems to me 3 years ago at the rate various gun technologies have changed is practically the Dark Ages and while there's nothing inherently wrong with a finely crafted, well made crossbow it doesn't really do the job against an harquebus, does it? Modern day translation--don't bring a knife to a gunfight.

And the way I remember it the Dynarats were so frustrated at the inability to keep pace with raging firepower they were pressed to take extreme measures--like adding eyes and other boards. :p

What I never understood about that though is that the majority of the Dynasty team, even when they went to butchered eye version IR3/LCD's kept 12v Revi's on top?? Unless they were 'Majestic 12 belt fed versions'? What good is a marker capable of 20+ bps if your loader can only supply 10?

Maybe it's just bad karma for going after the green. Nobody gave the Naughty Dogz much **** for moving to Empire but the point is that unlike Empire, Smart Parts (perhaps not the actual people but their business) are, for the most part, detested by most of the industry. By defecting from a company that has always invested heavily in the development of the sport to a company that seems intent on only improving their own bank balance (and I'm not saying there is anything inherently wrong with that) they effectively 'sold out' in a lot of peoples eyes. We can all argue the merits of that decision till the cows come home but as far as I can gauge, Dynasty kudos took a major nosedive from that point on.

Maybe it's just some crazy sandle wearing type case of karmic cause and effect...?

Hello CBL,
no, my sense of humor is fine, its my patience I always have trouble with.
I am of the opinion that Dynasty's issue with firepower was not gun-related. They did not want to use Evolutions, but Revolutions instead. These feed at about 13-14 balls per second, thier reluctance to change up slowed them down while thier competitors were using Halo's. The thing that sped the team up this year was the surprising compromise by Brass Eagle that allowed them to shoot Halo's half way through a 2 year deal to shoot Evolutions, another example of the player power that you love so much....

as for there being nothing wrong with being a hater, I disagree, its not a tag I would want to carry. Certainly not now I am a SuperMod. Just as I do not think cheating is 'cool'.
Anyway, I blame my parents...

Karmic cause and effect - I like it!
You're alright by me Ben Frain, people never look at the spiritual repercussions of thier decisions, but there is no doubt what you are saying is right.
I was typing the revi thing when your post went up, so sorry about the duplication
