i agree in some aspects with that if people go out and look purposly 2 get respected, then they have a harsh shock of sometimes not recievin it, if you go out and just play paintball and have fun respect is more openly visible between ppl. i think

Kel, I think respect is earned and not a right, and as long the gender card isn't repeatedly played, then I think as girls improve as ballers, and not necessarily as girls, then I personally have no problems.Originally posted by Candy

One manifest problem is the default postion a lot of people adopt when assessing females perform on a paintball field and that is they make that assessment on the basis they are girls, I assess everybody as ballers.
thats it though,a lot of people will say "oh she plays well for a girl " but never hear some say "oh he plays well for a bloke " !

good point like robbo said (and if everyone thought like him this sport would be greater), if they out in the field shooting a gat wether it be a guy or girl playin good or bad they are a baller plain and simple, if a all female team had sandannas on and masks with mirrored lenses and you couldnt tell if men or women , and they played freakin awesome then peoples opinions shouldnt change due to the fact they women,

threadstarter, stop complainting, and get out there and play some more ball instead.. I believe respect is something you earn, and i have a little theory that girls maybe have to prove it a little bit more, but it will come eventually if you play good paintball
