Given that i think all tourny are capped at 15.4 in the UK it doesn't really matter.

waste of feckin time that is with no ballistics chronies to detect it! i love it when people invent rules they cant enforce!!

Ramping for me because i'm rubbish at pulling the trigger fast, so it even's the play out on field,
but then it detracts from the skill element for those people that can rip their guns in semi
Thing is tho, that most sites can't enforce 15bps caps, but people are less likely to cheat because you don't have too.
Running 19bps won't make you an instant winner, so why bother when 15bps is fine?

true semi

played both PA millenium and masters with semi and i much prefer semi dont like the way it levels the playing field for those that carnt shoot left handed or run and shoot and quote

jokersmoker
"If your off hand is too slow, practice more. If you can't run and gun, train more."

some one just needs to invent some new fancy electronic gizmo so that gun cheats are caught and shamed for using it then semi would be the one true mode, for me the one thing that i always get asked when talking to none paintballers about paintball is they always have a story about this one "gun" they saw that was well powerfull and is yours full auto. yea nice one!!! thats what i reckon :)

Staying warm on a sunday!
i have to say i love ramp!

i can bust out sooo many more moves that i want to.

plus you have the ramp wrap! ;)

i also love the challenge of having shed loads of paintballs flying at you and having to work around them!

semi is good dont get me wrong but has nothing compared to the thrill factor of up to 7 guns shooting 15bps at you!

Ramp > Semi!

I thought ballistic chronies measures the velocity of shots not the rate?

And for those who say ramping removes an element of skill from the game - yes it does, but the skill sets in any sport are arbitrary. Sports are ways to compete within a specific and defined set of skills and abilities. Different sports test players using different skill sets, and the skill sets that are chosen to be part of a sport are selected to make the sport the most enjoyable and fair competition. There is no fundamental reason why the skill of firing fast should be part of paintball, so saying it removes a skill from the game is not a valid argument against it.

Allowing players to use hoppers, rather than having to manually feed the balls themselves, removes a skill from the game. But we choose to remove that skill because the game is more enjoyable without it. The fact that some people may be really good at manually feeding balls into their feed neck doesn’t mean that we should include it, and the argument that “people should just practise manually feeding more” is stupid as well. If the game is better off without the skill, i.e. more fun to play and watch then there is no fundamental reason to have it.
