For northern europeans, it very expensive in travel, because it's 1 event in austria and 3 in italy... the MS balances that out, by putting some events up north.

As promised - pictures:

Notice how short the elbow is

Comparison new beam and old beam

New beam, in front of old beam, in front of cake:

Close to the top, despite being on your stomach

No room to put your legs under you

Gives you an idea of how small the elbow is, and how much lower in the centre of it

I know, this is bad on so many levels.

I have a principle objection to adding new bunkers every 2 years..... but when they even add crappy ones, like first the Mini M and now this, it starts to be about making money only, without even caring for the game.

As said numerous times before.... the only way they can make these bunkers work, is by blocking out the tape line with a big bunker, and further sticking a bunch of other tall bunkers inside the snake, to block out lanes from the D side and the centre.

Great - except, now nobody can really watch the games, because have the field is heavily obstructed from view on the spectator side.

And what exactly did we gain from this bunker change?

they kind of remind me of early snakes when they were a single long bunker, that curved in and out. Now i understand the whole keeping it fresh argument and also the why do we keep changing one but if we are going to change them can we not in fact make bunkers better and not worse

Jeez the camera certainly does lie . The previous pictures made them look taller .There,ll be a rush to sign hobbit snake players .Correct me if Im wrong but wont snake players be mainly battling each other prone?? You can dip balls over unless they stay tight .Whether blunting snake play is seen as good/bad,It will throw tactical emphasis to tape side.St Tropez field will need a lot more practicing,Good pics Nick ty.

The EPBF is not real dude :D - it's a marketing ploy.... to my knowledge, there is no elected board and nobody voted in from the national federations..... at least it was that a few years ago.
It must be real it's logo is on those little ID cards that we all waste ton of money on year after year :D :)

Welcome back Nick, good to see you here again.

I'm saying rental fields should play 5man, on MS size airball fields!
Playing devil's advocate for a minute here, but you could turn that around as well. Why don't the tournaments play something that fits on a rental field?
I remember back in the day when there was nothing but woods, even a sh!ts and giggles event would attract an insane amount of teams, some of them straight from the rental fields.

After all, arena type balling was introduced in order to get audiences interested in paintball and since that clearly never happened...

Isnt part of the problem ,if it is a "problem ",that as someone said that tournie ball has evolved too far away from the rental/woods market?? Surely this is an expression of the players ethos to paintball. All those days of training rather than more games, expensive guns ,trekking across Europe toshoot 20mins game time, all point to folk who are win oriented and seek to test themselves at the highest level .As opposed to 40£ for a day,s fun and a burger twice a year at the other end of the spectrum. It is a testament to the sport that has developed the top so far from the bottom, that the two can even be considered as reconcilable! A div 3 millenium player is no closer to a walk on woodsballer than a CPL pro ,he just hasnt climbed as far as he would like yet.Any player of any sport welcomes that feeling of "family "and "belonging " logically will seek to unify their sport. The only problem being even if you were to find this magic formula ,would you want a rec player competing with a Tournie baller? The risk of alienating the one while not engaging the other is an potentially expensive one .At one event last year 5 guys went toa scenario game just for a fun weekend ,ended up with an angry marshal ordering them back to base despite all being clean as it was just carnage .the other team did not make one single objective and lost by a record margin .Not something to pull your punters in .This is a complex problem and
i suspect may not have a soloution.
