It makes my brain talk like you type thats what it does, and I do not want to think like you talk. It hurts my head to read a post from BUSH, it made me feel thick reading anything from Maddog. Please do everyone a favour and at least type properly.

And also I hate it when someone feels big enough to correct someone and mis-spells grammar

e.g "at least I use correct grammer"

sheeesh! *smacks own forehead*

Let me speak as an under-represented minority of my generation and say I agree. I'm 18, and half the time when I'm reading through the forums I feel like I've stumbled into some lost world with it's own neanderthal dialect (and if you think this one's bad, try out pbnation or pbreview). But then again, I'm probably the only person under the age of 30 who has never used or installed an instant messenger. My feeling's always been, we have email, we have telephones, keep them separate. If you want to talk to someone isntantly, phone them, if you want to talk to someone electronically, email them. The thing that's always amazed me is that as much as these IM people type and type and type, they never get any better at it. I think we should appoint a board of spelling and grammar police to pass out bans and severe fines to anyone using excessively lazy English.

how can it be easier to type? just type normally and you will get better at it. as for it being easier to read. is your brain on dialup? maybe your eyes are on a limited bandwith deal? get to fcuk. you're all just lazy. its not big. its not clever. and it makes people over 15 even less likely to listen to you than we would have before. im far more likely to put up with an idiot on a forum sputing drivel in english than i am sum1 who cnt b a$$ed 2 type propa.

get over yourselves kids, hand in a paper written like that at school and your gonna fail. hand in a report like that at work and they are just gonna laugh at you. why not make people listen to/respect your opinions more and learn some life skills at the same time?

If I see posts written in text rubbish I tend to not bother even reading them as I am sure a lot of other people do too. So it makes it a worthless means of communication if your garbled gibberish is ignored by many posters?

I completely agree - when i read the classifieds and someone has posted that way I tend to ignore it and make (unfairly or not)
assumptions that the author is someone i'm less likely to deal with.

Its probably to do with my school, upbringing blah blah, not an excuse but I tend to make judgments on someones intelligence by how bloody legible they are - i am by no means saying that people that write like this aren't intelligent it just comes across like that to me personally .

Agree 100% with you dskize

..But I dont think its an age or intelligence thing; personally I put it down to middle class kids wanting to be 'ghetto'.
