I hope somebody can answer a couple of questions regarding next season. From a team that are frustrated

1. From which division will Exl expand from ( super leaque/div one?) and how many will it be 05 and 06.

2. If the answer on 1 is The super leaque, then he hole promotion from the leaque will be unfair. The reason is, you gather points from all four legs. If you are unlucky and at one tournament a couple of the EXL teams joins in and you get them in the draw instead of fellow AM A teams, and the next round a couple of others from EXL joins in and the same happens....

3. Why do we need the super leaque? If we are not going to play X ball everyone why can't we have just two formats?
It is still a litle like the two best teams at rugby are going to be promoted to play in the NFL next year( National Football leaque).

I know that the last days events has made a NPPL participation, much more likely from our side.

1. Sam, u r right, the Millennium won't lose out at all, it's just Gaff whipping it up in his own mind to try and make a point that is unmakeable.

2. In my opinion, Hardcore should be in the top 8 and are victims to the vagaries of the selection policy.

3. There are two ways where we can fairly determine the top 8, either we appoint a committee of respected, knowldgeable and as far as possible independent people to select the top 8 or we have a tournament where all those who feel they are one of the 8 should turn up and bash it out.

1. you are so narrow minded, i am talking not from a Storm point of view, but a personal opinionated point of view! i will support all UK teams next season that do deserve the right to be there! nad how many do i think deserve it????? all of them!!! flame me for that thought!

2. i agree 100% they played well and marshaled an event they now know they should have played and they would have qualified! exactly as i pointed out in earlier posts the system has failed them because they played the system that was laid down last season!!!

3. the latter is the only way it can ever be determind as fair!

dont start flaming cos i am a member of Storm, i have opinions and am entitled to them, i do not want to fight, i just want to be able to give a view that may (i accept it may not) assist with p8ntball in Europe.

oh and good luck to all the Euro teams next year especially the UK teams, you all did good last season and will hopefully do good next!!

Fair play.

I presume Camp is going to 7man from 5 then?

Well, looks like I'm going to be back in time for Germany (as long as they don't change the date  )

because new teams have to start at the bottom.
@Nick,my Team will be taking part in the MS for the first time next year.
We where planning on starting in Am B,just to be fair.
We did get final places in the German National League and at Euroball3 so we thought starting as Novice would be taking the piss a bit.
Does your comment mean that we now HAVE to start as Novice?
That would mean that we are playing side to side with our Rookie squad who will be playing Novice, the different skill level between our two teams is very large,by being forced to play Novice our Am B Team would also be forced to sandbag?
If we have to start in Novice, can we move up after two events,or do we have to stay in Novice the whole year?
When thats the case, let me thank the MS Committe personally, weve worked hard all year round to build a good team and get real sponsorship, sponsorship thats based on us playing the MS as AmB(Div.2).
Look forward to your reply!

Challenger,

For the first year (2004), you can select which division to play. You could if you think your good enough, man up and enter at Div 1 (assuming you've got the belief and the minerals).

Once you select a division you are locked in. From the end of 2004 for the 2005 season the promotion relegation system will work, and hopefully this will flush out incorrectly seeded teams and move them up or down accordingly.

From the beginbning of 2005, all new teams must start in Div 3 (although this does kinda make it interesting for any travelling US teams above Novice level who want to start playing in Europe from 05, but you can't have your cake and east it).

Thats my understanding (but I'm maybe not the sharpest of tools).

So maybe be shooting you in Div 1 next year, there is no such thing as sandbagging, there is no such thing as sandbagging, there is no such thing as sandbagging, there is no suc............

(this is something Baca has me doing whenever I get tense)

Bah...

The way it should be:

Division I: Limited number of teams. Bottom X number of teams get kicked out to DII, top X number of DII teams get invited up to DI at the end of the season.

DIII: Rookie. You get a year, then you can't play there anymore.

DII: Catch-all for everybody else.

All forcing teams to start out in DIII will accomplish is letting whatever latest incarnation of a US pro team come over and finance their trip by stealing the DIII prizes from legitimate new European teams.

Unless Millenium has decided they don't want a division for new teams anymore, in which case, carry on.
