No, I said to shoot his mate in the butt!! In fact, that would be a better idea, cos he'd let go of the counterweight and the cameraman would have hit the deck..... mwahahahah!

What happened was ****ty, but there really is not much we can do is there. Congratulations to Powertrip for some great paintball!

I suppose if you want good footage the players have to adopt.

Gaff: If you think that camera cost 2000 Euro... think again put the number one infront of that and I might start agreeing with you...

Troggy: There is a huge difference in the camera being shot by accident and it being shot at on purpose!

however I agree that the camera man was a moron...

And about the marshalls on field 1: What can I say... Team Ignition from sweden... Now you see why the Super 7 fly some of those guys (and other handpicked scandinavians) over for every event. + they are great guys 2.

Resssspect guys.

I'd rather see less exciting footage of tournament events than have the outcome affected by giveaway camera moves and commentators!
If a team wants to get some cool footage of themselves showing off for a DVD or TV then we should have showcase matches where the Cameras swarm like flys and everyone pulls out their biggest badass moves but there is no Massive cash prize to be worrying about if you don't pull it off because of a cameraman giving the game away for you.

yeah i know how much these cameras cost, i have just bought a digital SLR and they are peanuts in comparison!

what i was implying was, if the camera owner wants us to stump up the money (regardless of value) for damaging his camera if shot, would he/she stump up the money for costing us the prize money (regardles of value)!! i agree that if we signed contracts before the game and agreed to pay each other for these actions we would probably have to pay 8-10000 euros more, but the principle is the same!

I know a few photographers who "play" paintball while they're shooting - they'll take shots of empty bunkers, follow phantom people in the snake, etc, etc.

Is trying to fool a team into thinking a player is where he isn't any better than giving players away? (I'd say no, but that's just me.)

In this day in age, there's no excuse for being that close to a player.

agree 100% raehl

when was the last time you saw a photographer get in the way in the world cup, stood on the halfway line and following Roberto Carlos down the wing. the photographic and film equipment available these days means you could stand in Toulouse town centre and get a good shot of the finals fields! (slight exaggeration!)
