ok well I forgot what I was going to quote .. there's just so damn much going on here ... so I'll just dive right in. It's late and I'm tired so I'm sorry in advance.
I have had both good and bad experiences with ST's quality control. BUT their customer service is outstanding. If, instead of simpliy bitching and cursing your luck and all that stuff one simply called up BBT they have no problem exchanging merchindice that in unalterd factory condition.
A guy on my team has a SFL He loves it, it's his baby, we're not even aloud to look at it ... He's never had a problem with it. 2, I repeat TWO (2) guys from school haf had their cocker bodies striped by RAT Valves. Yet I know several people who swear by them. I forget where I'm going with this ... oh yeah So another guy on my team (in case you haven't noticed we all shoot cockers ...) got a chrome Bomb 3-way. The plating was all poorly done and he couldn't get the thing to stop leaking. So after he got throuhg bitching and whining I got him to call up the BBT in chicago, They had him send it in with the original packaging and the sent him a new one less the cost of shipping. He's finaly over that and the fool can't shut up about how short and smoth his trigger pull is.
Whats wrong with APG? It's like the Cosmo of Paintball ... 200 pages ... 196 of them adds ... it wouldn't be so bad if they would just change the damn adds every once and a while.
I love PGI .. I just can't figure out why Robbo keeps re-writing the same articals month after month ... You know what PGI needs? More pretty adds! Then they not only would give me more to memorize each month they could make more money and therefore sponser more teams! And the mag would look better (all us americans know that bigger is better. It isn't what you do with it, it's the size that counts. Just look at APG)
I also like P8nt mag ... just in that indy paintball sort of way ...
I had a point when I started writing ... Oh yeah play tight, stay in the game, and shoot people out. Wait .. that doesn't make sense ... If you're going to buy something, try and visually inspect it before you buy ... keep an open mind and don't be afraid to try new things ... it might be the best piece of kit you ever laid your hands on. If it's not, chalk it up to the paintball gods. I'f it's obviously of poor quality, call around and see if you can't have something done about it. Most people in the industry are really cool and above all else want to keep people happy.
There's this old saying I'm not sure exactly how it goes (maybe Robbo would know better) "Any publicity is good Publicity"
Hey, sure, some people are dissing Shocktech, but maybe it wouldn't really be talked about at all if once in a while someone spouted on and on about how much they think such and such sucks.
Well like I said ... it's late and I'm tired so all I can say is I hope this was at least mostly coherent ...
Just Throwing in my $0.02 to this already over drawn thread.
