TJ its all about whether we think an english Xball team will be able to compete in the US with its current format of players and coach, I do not think it will

It does not really bother me that you may or may not be a player that can comment but its hard to judge a peron who is quoting about a sport that thet might not even play, your credentials do not stand for much without some previous

And I can say your posts have always entriged me and are usually pretty straight forward, not to far from my opwn thoughts sometimes

A bit of a brown noser at times though!!!

>>>Forget X-Ball; the question is, or should be, will Team Whateverthey'regonnacallthemselves be able to compete in Millenniums and NPPLs.

>>>Well there ya go then

>>>OK, I'll bite - find ONE post brown nosing; I've been in pitched battles with a lot of people in here, including other mods and Robo, and I'll always speak my mind 100% on whatever.

Wow, I ain't bit for ages...that felt kinda good.

1-1 then, I love a little bite as you would know if you new me, perhaps you do know me though

Just a wind up for a truly clear bite, I did have you down as a Browner but it might have been UBERBALLER or whatever it is
Stop picking on my buddy

My opinion is pretty clear even them being freinds of mine and all
They will not be able to compete for 3-4 years I am sorry to say knowing them as I do, nice people know where near ruthless enough in any shape or form

Do nice people win, mm not to sure you really need some enemies to win

Rage a top Pro team not in my thoughts they have dropped off a little while ago, BC Maryland no not really, both have won but in the past but arent really considered in my top 4 in the US

>>>>his is the new team we're on now, yes? So they won't be able to compete for 3-4 years and also need to become more ruthless you think? By ruthless do you mean play the greay areas more, or train harder, or adopt a more ruthless playing style?

Do nice people win, mm not to sure you really need some enemies to win

>>>In my opinion you defintitely need that streak of aggression/focus/will to win, whatever you call it, but I know some really good guys who are at the top of their chosen sports and who are great guys, but get tha eye of tha tiger when they get into the ring/onto the field/onto the race course. I think that often the absolute best are nice, cos they can turn that intensity off and on, but some can't and come across as *******s cos of it...perversely, I always found that it's tha second tier, the nearly-great players, who have tha worst attitude problems in all tha sports I've competed in.

>>>So for tha sake of argument, how, for tha purposes of this on-going discussion, do we define top team? Consistently placing top 4 Pro at NPPLs and Millenniums?

Perhaps I may be closer than you know TJ

More or less toxpand on train harder in my previous posts its not about training more its about the right training regime if you like, turning up and plying each other is not what its all about
swapping hands to play lefty righty is great and gives you an egde and only one thing I have agreed with Peter about is dont take a stupid risk unless you have to, you can win games without trading
My style of play make s me the agressor and I believe you should take this stance if you can at all times in the modern game
Grey areas of course all the top teams push the boundaries
And there arte some of the finer points that need to be addressed one of which is experience, all players need experience

Agree with some of that, but have met some paintballers that really at the top of there class that are really arseholes all the time, even though to your face they may pretend they be your friends
But paint a picture that there nice until you turn your back
Some that like to rule by aggression all the time
I have time for all players in paintball from the first timer right through to the PRO player, my respect is for all, I do admit I can be a complete and utter C**t alot of the time on the field though
And am not really proud of some things I have said to people during and after a game but once I calm down I will always apologise if I have done wrong in my eyes

A top pro team would be the top 3 in the NPPL for the time being and thats not the ranking at end of year its the 3 that hit 1, 2 , 3rd in events as reffing can throw that out a little
Forget the millenium the NPPL is harder by far, the ability of there Am and Novice blows our Pros out of the water in Europe

I am sure you have a list that will give me the NPPL ranking as it stands but take out the reffing score and then quote it to me
please

Then how come the top american Am teams that come over to Europe, consistenly fail to make the Am finals in Europe? I'm thinking of Trauma, Bushwhackers and Adrenalin who have played over here recently...

Granted their pro's blow us away, but their Am teams don't when playing other Euro Am's...

TJ? IS that really you!

Hey TJ I thought you were an american?

If they are a pro-team made up of Britts who do well, whether or not they are "Team England" then best of luck to them, with all that tallent can there be any question that this is the right way to put together a team?

Giles, my apologies, I have not been playing for long enough, neither am I good enough to meet your requirements to post, but I just don't see what all the fuss is about. Of course this team won't start winning overnight, there is a lot of hard work to do, but there is no reason why it should take more than 15 Years as you predict.

There are a huge more of them than the ones you mentioned Manike and to play them consitently is really hard you cannot afford to lose a single game at some tournies in the US to qualify for PRO and it has been known to not qualify with all maxes

They have some fantastic teams that have never ventured to the millenium and may not due to money, they do move to Pro as did teams that I played against more regularly than we do

One such team was Lock out, some bad trips to the UK but a great team in there time in the US
