Sorted for what?
I agree that the Rushers are an awesome team. I have always thought of them as one of my favorite teams to watch. But adding a few talents is not going to sort it, as you say. These past few months the Rushers have been putting up good numbers, but I have also seen them struggle this season. And that is in the amateur divisions. I doubt that is what this new team is aiming for, it'd be a shame if their goal wasn't to go pro. So I'd say that it'd take more than just adding some talent. Like a few other people said, it will also take a lot of financial backing, and let's face it, very few companies will be willing to invest large sums in an amateur team.

PS this was in no way, shape, or form intended to discredit the Rushers. I still think you are a great team to watch, and you are a bunch of nice guys to boot.

good point rancid.

however the rushers are already one of the most heavily sponsored teams in the uk.

i just think adding to them would be better than splitting them up.

It is exciting! For the last 3-4 years many of us in Toulouse would sit at the same bar in the centre and discuss making the ultimate UK team. Maybe this is now happening? The main players in the discussion used to be the Rushers and I saw them moving towards the ideal.

Rancid, as a sponsor maybe you could tell us who the new team will consist of so that we can discuss it some more. :)

im with you manike on that one.

colby should be given the shot he's a wicked player and he has'nt got an ego he's quite quiet.

the rushers have a solid foundation. not everbody has results go there way all the time. look at GZ

adding new players like chris edwards, jack wood, and maybe 4-5 others will add depth to there squad, which is where i think they are lacking.

they have the backing of smart parts,jt,draxxus etc.

otherwise i stand by my opinion..... i think

I believe Sam Keats made the decision himself not to play on the England team because he was happier playing and practising with a bunch of his mates who live locally. (is it K2?)

July (160) issue of PGI, turn to the XBall preview and the two=page piece on the England team. Then remove Sam Keats and put Ledz in his place as player/vice-captain and you've basically got your team.

The team would not consider playing Am, I'm sure of that. How could they? The Rushers would have probably gone pro next season anyway, and with three other long-time pro players on the team, why would they go anywhere other than pro?

Also, the first event they ever played together, they were playing against national squads, which is like Pro but better - Pro-Plus if you like. Ok, they sucked against Germany for various reasons, but they only lost 12-6 to Russia, the world #2 team. That means they maxed Russia 6 times. I don't think that's too bad for a team that had never played together before.

Why is everyone going on as if this team is the rushers. Robbo has put together a 10-man squad and only three of them are from the rushers. they also have players from mayhem tigers, banzai, kelly's heroes, campaign power

I expect if I spoke to the sponsorship people at Vodafone that they could tell me the line up, or run names from a marketing list somewhere... :D

I though if anyone was in the 'know' on the team it would be a major sponsor...

Mr. Big, it's fantastic to hear that they will be playing Pro. I think they need to compete against the other pro teams in Europe and USA to get where they need to be.

K2 is a Northern team... hasn't Sam been playing with the Jaguars lately?

I think the Rushers could have cut it in the Pro division next year also.

I really want to know who 'ultimately' owns the new team? Is it one of the sponsors or what? Who has the rights to the UK 'X ball team'? Obviously the last event was an invitation thing, but surely someone is going to own this new group for marketing etc? Otherwise whats to stop someone else starting a UK 'X ball team'? Someone must have the franchise or something? No?
