Wasn't Sam on the original X-ball team? Did he get cut, or did I miss something?
Is Nicky T still going to be on the team even though he will be living in the USA? it's possible but that's some level of commitment for flights and training etc. It's been done before, by Robbo, Giles, Dave Spittle, Nick etc, but it's quite a burden after a while to keep up.
Maybe. I'm interested to hear Mark's comments. Everytime we have discussed building an 'uber' UK team we came down the financial investment and sponsorship required to do it. Maybe that's the potential Mark saw in the new team (not meant in a bad way as that IS what is needed to compete at the higher level).
But then we can't speak for Mark, I'd rather let him do it himself
So do we get to hear who the major sponsors are? are they as expected?...
People will want to comment on the players/managers and make recommendations, it happens in all sports. As GloryKid points out Colby is blinding at times. I'd like him to stay with this new set up as I think he will fit into such a style amazingly (or else some other team should snap him up QUICK!)

colby is a very consistant player always has been good, however when sam was on shock and then banzai's everybody overlooked colby except Mr toye.
Colby is one of the best players i have seen, we used to play a lot of five mans together along with sam at outer limits and other venues.

Agreed. Colby was awesome at Campaign with the Rushers behind him.

Tj-Nope, I feel ledz would make the best coach but thats about it.
Rancid, I can see where your coming from but like Manike said, there is an opportunity cost involved. On the other hand, I wanna see England kick ass and trying something new cant be all bad, as long as they can stick together, train hard and swim through the bullsh!t.

I think Ledz is a great leader and coach, he also has a lot of talent as well as a vested interest in the pie shop
I'd also like to see Toye have a big influence on the team, I think the Rushers under his leadership are the FIRST team from the UK to start getting it together.
Add Jack Wood and Chris Edwards playing and Ledz playing/coaching to the Rushers and I think you've got it.
How is all the sponsorship going to work out I wonder...

Hey guys, this is exciting already. Like Manike said, we're all having our two penneth on a team that is nout to do with us - ie the virtues of each player, who should be captain, who should be chief coach etc. We have never done this with any other team before.
I see what people are saying re The Rushers, but if you subscribe to the fact that you need time and more money to be a world threat, then perhaps this new team will have more pulling power? And perhaps, to answer Glorykid's point earlier, that's why it is not being amalgamated into the Rushers.
