Thanks Twizz for putting on the Winter 25 event.
I really enjoyed playing with Team SPOD, and we all really enjoyed the event. At the end of the day, if you enjoy playing then you have to say it's a successfull tournament.

I'd like to offer a few sugestions that would really help for the next event. This is all aimed to be constructive critisim, which would really help the tournament next time. After all it's all in the details...

The netting really needs to be sorted out 100%
I'm aware that the netting was being put up on Saturday evening, due to the heavy winds, but i really need to point out that the netting in several areas was not sufficient, particularly the seams. Considering that we're playing paintball in a public place, we need to protect the spectators. A small detail, when you put the scaffolding poles on the bottom of the netting, you need to zip tie them in place.
It would also be helpfull to have an entrance to the players tunnel from both ends to stop players from comming in under the netting.
Could you please set the players area and air closer to the fields?
The venue is really great, i wouldn't mind having it there again.
Since it's a winter league, and the sun sort of comes up and then hangs there, maybe the fields should have been layed out 90 degrees to the way they were. We found it very hard to play into the sun, and a massive advantage playing with it to our backs.

The fields were pretty good, maybe a bit small for 7 man. If you're going to play 7 man on smaller pitches, you need more bunkers. I'll get in touch with you about this, we maybe able to help out.
Overall the field designs were not that well thought out, i understand that the layout was rushed due to the delay caused by the netting (and ultimatly the high winds before the weekend)

I wouldn't mind paying another few quid per player to get hpac down. Like i said, maybe if you charge a few extra quid, per player, that could cover the cost of HPAC.

The judging was very good considering how many judges per field, field 1 was a bit iffy, i thing some of the judges had other things on their mind?

Field 2 was very good, and Super Steve Wilson did a great job running the show on field 3

I know it's hard to get judges, so again we'll see what we can do to help next time. I heard no one yelling at the judges, they were fair and unbiased, and they worked very hard.

Anyhow we loved it, and i can't wait for the next one. We really want this series to continue, we're prepared to pitch in and help make it happen.

I would like just like to add my thanks on behalf of the Roughnecks to the ever growing list, great day out and were pleasantly surprised to play our last game in daylight. Didn't think it was going to be possible:D

Marshals did a great job considering the numbers on the fields.

A special thanks to Zone for lending us a player after our Captain went down on the day with the raging flu. Would have have been better if we had managed to turn you over though, can see why you guys won Campaign.

To the Top Cats, we will get you next time;)

TWIZZ thanx for running a great tourney, the team enjoyed playing hard but fair ball all day ,i agree with others that the air needs to be SORTED .Red rised a good point most of the games where won before they had been played due to which end of the field you got .
Marhsals they done a great job even tho there was only 5 per field THANX you all worked your backsides off.
Thanx to all the people who helped put this tourney together and thanx to all the teams we played :D

Just a quick note to add my thanks to Twizz and the rest of the organisers for a very first tournament.

There seem to be a few areas where people are picking holes but this is the first tourney these guys have done and it was a hell of a lot better than a lot of regular tournaments I've been to.

The air was not a desperate problem , it just meant people had to queue up for a couple of minutes and I don't think anybody was late for a game beacayse of the air fill apart from maybe the first games. Maybe people should have just a little more patience.

Limited Marshall numbers made it hard work for those who who were there and they did an excellent job.

If people want more marshalls maybe a few more should volunteer rather than complain.

Also I think for most people Campaign was the last thing they had done and it is not fair to compare the two.

So again I would like to say congrats to Twizz and his team and look forward to the next one and thanks to all the teams for making it a good gig and look forward to the next one.

'in ya face baby!'
I second that big up

Twizz, Shahid and all who made this event happen....

well bloody done!! this was as good as the best domestic tourney's i have played (Campaign as an exception) the only constuctive critisism would be the air needs to be H-Pac or an equivalent (if there is another?) and the netting needs securing a bit better to the ground. both real simple things that can be sorted very easily.

also as i offered to Sparklie when she did the M25 Storm like to get to site the day before and walk fields, this then means that if you need a hand putting a field up or something then just ask cos we will always help.

Gr8 day!

Thanks Twizz and all the guys/gals involved...

Gr8 event, considering it was only gonna happen a month or so ago. I think:confused:

We need more events like this, yeh there were a few bad points that peeps have mentioned. But to be honest I was only moaning about the cold weather - and that can't be changed - at least it didn't rain:p

Don't agree with the heavy swearing either Jas, but some peeps just can't help it! Especially when the adrenalin's pumpin. Bigger tourney's penalise swearing - it should be carried through - me thinks:p

Anyhoo, thanx Tony for being an ace captain - really enjoyed the day. Plus Si and Sharla you were on fire!
