Rate-of-fire caps

Don't most markers have a function for limiting the rate of fire. And doesn't the marker normally need to be opened to adjust it or by using tools, so it couldn't be altered mid game, baring hidden designer cheats. My ir3 has one, even my old spyder had one. And these that don't probabley wouldn't be fast enough to need one.

Or are you saying that if you set you Limit at 20, you might be able to hit 14, but if you set the limit as 15, the most you will be able to achieve will be 12. For example.

I don't proclaim to have the answers, wish I did!

Thing is a lot of players haven't paid money se pas for enhanced rof's but alot of markers don't have the ability to cap the rof not with eyes enabled anyway, I know you can't with WAS boards and as far as I'm aware the same is true for eblade boards and frenzy boards, can't remember about Angel boards as I've never wanted to cap my rof with anti chop enabled.

Touché. You are right on both points. So the markers which can't be capped with the eye on are a perfect subjects for using a slow hopper.

Don't get me wrong Steve, I totally agree with what you're trying to achieve.:) Just don't know how best to go about it and obviously it's easier to 'pick holes' then it is to suggest a better alternative, or at least one within the realms of equipment players already have.

I can understand your idea for a rof cap, but as I've said I still think players would cheat to hit that cap therefore personally I don't think a cap is the answer, but yet again I don't know what is.:(

As you can see, my MO here is to throw out different ideas and see which ones bounce back. Maybe I ought to have more de-bounce.:p

And yes under the current testing thats exactly what's happening.

I'll say this though, from my limited experience - on certain markers, it is not possible to eliminate bounce with a 25g switch, whereas an 80g switch can at least be made legal. I've done this to a couple of I-framed impulses as there seems to be no way to make them legal if the stock 25g switch has any wear.

Although I did put a 140g switch in an e-blowback and it still bounced like crazy

Thinking about it I say that was boards etc have no cap I guess you could cap via the debounce.....
I was tuning the debounce outta my marker in paris and messing around with it I set the debounce to 99ms shot about 1 ball a second so I guess it is possible....
