It was big enough for the "on deck team" to prepare, but the games are shorter than regurlar X-ball games, and by the time the team that are finished, are cleared out of the tent, its getting close to the game for the next team.. See:confused: In Marseille we could just sit outside and prepare, but if it rains..... That is what Buns of steel are talking about. I think, hehe:p

And here comes the real reason to my answer:
It`s soo good to see Robbo back on these boards :D I was a little worried here... I was really missing those "from the gut" opinions!
And i could`nt start my own thread just because of that!

And on topic:
1. price in Pro /CPL (- entry fee) will if you are lucky, maybe, just maybe, cover your expences for traveling & hotel...... So dont expect to get rich!
in Madrid last year it was 6900 euros....

This Ulrich guy is a fantastic example of 'power' going to someone's head who has the authority but not the wisdom or social skills to wield it.

He does what he's told and doesn't mediate that action with any independent thought or rationale (remind you of anything?), his abruptness may be just that but I interpret it as being rude.
The problem in appointing anybody to this type of job is that it attracts a certain 'type' of person.
It is therefore incumbent upon the people who hand out that power to distinguish between people wanting to do a job because they are responsible and those who want the job because they like the power.
The latter can best be understood by looking at the average traffic warden and the mentality that often accompanies such a profession.
This guy is doomed to fail purely because he has no idea how to talk to people and the job he has to do has everything to do with just how you treat people ...

I just wish they would stop with all the bullsh!t and just treat us like paying customers and get on with it, I detest the pretense ... If I told you of a phone call I received from this Ulrich guy, you would not believe me.......he was not only rude but wholly inappropriate and completely disrespectful and this is how he thinks he should treat a customer of the MIllennium.
He clearly stated that they don't think the teams are the customers at all.

If he had behaved like this in the real world, he would have either been sacked or assaulted.
He really needs to learn some manners and some perspective if he is to continue in his job.

Ulrich also told one of the XSV guys the following (not verbatim but close enough) :-

'You guys are just pirates, you come over here taking all the prize money and then run back to the States, we don't want you coming over here any more playing in the Millennium'.

I can't remember who exactly he said it to (I will call Rich tonight to find out) but it was Nicky Cuba who told me Ulrich had said this.
This is a disgrace that an official of the Millennium should not only think this but also say it to one of its customers, it shows a complete disregard toward its customers, a complete lack of professionalism and an unbelievably ignorant mindset.
I still haven't yet told you guys what he said to me in that phone call........ I will keep it in reserve ..... hmmmmmmmm........
