Yeah, well, sometimes things sound better in my head. Here, watch me grasp at straws:
Surely, with all those little rug-rats dragging family and, perhaps more importantly, friends to the events it only serves to snowball as those kids decide it looks cool, then they start playing, then they tell a friend, then that friend tells a... you get the idea.
Plus, with all the idiot paintballers running rampant through these poor peoples' towns, and the outside media coverage that's been stirred up this year (NPPL), it's certain that everyone in the area knows what's going on. I can vouch for the rental car counters, local restaurants, and obviously hotels know when we're decending on their city. Granted, knowing and caring are the main difference, but I'd GUESS that atleast a couple people would come out to see what was going on.
How was that, desperate enough?
Here's something I've noticed in our little discussions, whenever we're talking about the games to be televised it's X-Ball, and whenever we discuss the public coming to the events it's NPPL. No earth-shattering revelation there, just a sad statement about the sport today.
