I have not. But I am not in the loop as much lately.

But I will say your West Coast "rumor" has some merit. And they may be calling themselves members of Team Ecafracs soon. New blood makes an old body feel much younger.

Imagine for a moment ---

3 Raiders, 3 Falcons, a Panther, 2 Lions, a Raven, and 2 Canucks (one transplanted) taking on the World. I don't know if they could beat anybody. But DAMN would it would be fun to watch.

It's a nice dream. Dreams come true with enough money. Do you know any rich guys who like making dreams come true?

I might.

I can think of

two at present...but there are waaaaaaaaaaaaay too many potential scenarios contingent upon waaaaaaaaaaay too many other things for Momma Lambini's crystal ball...she's getting static all over tha place. She even picked up a half-hour of Jay Ldeno tha other day, which was scarey...

You've trashed the PSP past, present, and future based on your attendence at one event. I was at the Gettysburg event. I can see how you were less than impressed with the air lines. And if you played 5 man, the schedule.
Now Tony,I wouldn't exactly call what i've said a trashing of PSP..The team i played for in Gettysburg has attended about 65% of PSP's since then..(that might be a little fuzzy math buts its close:p).Ive attended 4 as a spectator..From Gettysburg,I weighed all the good that PSP offered, and there is alot, that i wont deny, and then took the bad, added it all up,and I walked away saying until they get it right,COMPLETELY RIGHT,i wasnt coming back..Strong stance??You bet..Im not gonna throw us into a pissing match with every event that went wrong because there is always the counter punch of every event that went right...

Now you praise the Millenium Series and I am left wondering what you base that opinion on. Again, just a simple question. How many Milleniums events have you attended?
Absolutely None...I also didnt fight in WW2 yet im pretty knowledgable on the subject:cool:..But almost everybody ive talked to absolutlely heaps tons and tons of praise on thier events hands down...So i take all opinions ive heard, put them together and then make my own assessment..If 99% are saying its awesome, then it probably is

I have no problem with people giving personal opinions. As a matter of fact, I agree with some of yours. I'm simply trying to figure out what you are basing your statements on, and how you developed these opinions.

Tony,i think what pisses me off most about the whole situation,is that after 10 years or so,and hopefully you can answer this question 4 me as ive given my honest answers,WHY after 10 years cant PSP throw on 5 perfect events in a row??Now I dont care about little problems getting in the way, thats part of life but why cant we have 5 Chicago run events in a row..If PSP did that I would be the first to praise them and be first on line to throw my money back at them...But it hasnt happened yet and im still waiting (patiently) to jump back into the tourney scene..But thats why I hope S7 succeeds,in the hopes that it makes everything around it better....

Run a tournament and you'll know...

Running an event is a fight with chaos. If you're lucky, everything goes right. But stuff always goes wrong. Sometimes it's stuff you didn't plan right, sometimes it's it's stuff you can fix and no one notices, sometimes it's stuff you have no control over and can do nothing about.

And was there something wrong with LA and Atlantic City this year?

I dont want to run a tournament Chris,I want the ones who have chosen to do so to get it right..Christ,after all this time Reffing and schedules should NEVER, and ill repeat it again,NEVER be an issue, yet they are...Are my gripes that hard to deal with..Your childish response is always, then run your own..Well how about fixing the problems instead of masking them for 1 event and then proceeding down the same path later on...And im not talking about things not in thier control..Its the things in thier control that dont go right which is where im concerned..

It's not chilish.

My point was that if you've tried to organize an event, let alone an event with 100+ teams, you'd have a better understanding than you do as to why problems happen, and why they are not as easily fixed as you think they should be.

Running events is not all repeating what you did last time. There's new locations, new event sizes, new equipment, new demands from the player, etc. If PSP ran World Cup this year the same way they did last year they would have been screwed because attendence went up dramatically.

Do you even know WHY reffing is an issue?

It's one thing to whine and complain about problems, it's another entirely to understand the sources of the problems and suggest ways to fix them. You're definitely in the former category.

Hmm. That's a bit too easy there, Chris.
Personally I'm not the person to complain without thinking about solutions, but I do feel that a paying customer doesn't have to think about the solutions to the problems. He has every right to complain about them however. So don't jump on Headrock for doing so, he's just using his rights as a paying customer.

Thanks, Six

You're doin' a solid job keeping the debate alive lately as I, for one, have been slackin' off a bit. What with the holidays, down time between seasons, big changes with Super 7 and musical chairs rosters, etc. I'm pulling a Robo (not leaving the boards but momentarily bored with most issues) and staying out of it--mostly.
But--:D --I gotta say it seems pretty amazing to me that all over the world thousands of times a day professional organizations are actually hosting all manner of events; sporting, leisure, business, promotional, arts, etc. and a significant proportion of them actually manage to pull them off day after day, week after week, year after year yet PSP continues to ask for patience, promises to do better next time and say, gee, look what we already did for ya.

I don't walk into a car lot and say "I know my Ford whatever is a very complicated machine to make and has 1000 moving parts, I really don't mind the wheel fell off while going at 50mph and I ended up half way up a tree - as I couldn't make one myself just sell me another and I'll go away happy and not say another word"

I pay to play these events
I expect a certain standard of event for my money
