Your original point was one of ignorance to the bigger picture, Steve makes the best points, these things happen! You don't even recognise the fact that overall, the plans ARE working. Your opinion is totally negative. So cock up's happen, this doesn't mean the plans arn't working. The Marines in the capital would say they are!!! Ok, sorry for my attitude. By the way, i must have been confused these past few weeks. You've made it very clear George Bush and Tony Blair never mentioned freeing the Iraqi's once. Those messages they just recorded for them musn't exist. I am sorry for defending those whose task is difficult enough without criticism from someone sitting in a country they risk, and lose, their lives to defend. Really really sorry. It won't happen again. Next time someone attacks the faults of people who just freed a nation twice the size of Britain, i'll let them carry on.

Skarra, what i mean is that the stated aim of this war was to find WMD - liberation of the Iraqi people is a happy bi-product, as has been accepted by the pros and antis alike. Bush and Blair have been clear about that from the off, as war to achieve regime change is not on their agenda...currently.

Headrock, play fair - we have had many conversations and you know my position, but I'll spell it out again.

IF the Bush regime has decided that the liberation of opressed people is on its agenda, like it should have been on the UN's, then I will become Bush's biggest supporter - and I look forward to Palestine and Tibet being free.

The situation in Tibet is truly horrific, over 1.5 million dead at the hands of the Chinese, the entire Biddhist culture being destroyed and genocide being committed on a massive scale - yet when the Chinese premiere visted the UK last year Free Tibet suppporters were shut up by the British police - in a totally undemocratic way - because the Chinese premiere found such displays 'offensive'. Yet another example of the West playing good dictator, bad dictator.

IF the US has decided to take on the mantle of world protector and sets about sorting out the Palestine situation, and then moves onto Tibet, I will be the happiest man alive. However, until that happens forgive me if I view the current situation with suspicion.

That whole breakdown wasn't directed just for you but just a brief breakdown to all the nay sayers that have emerged as opposed to the war for all the wrong reasons..

I have always understood (although I dont always agree) your position for oppositon which at least has some groung to stand on unlike many of the others that seem to take the forefront when protesting this war..At least you give a **** about everything else thats going on and not just when it suits you or when you have an agenda and at least your consistent with your views..

Sort the Palestinian/Israeli issue,sort Tibet and I wouldnt even mind jumping in and sorting the North Korean issue and the Civil War in Africa as well...

And if the rhetoric on Syria keeps heating up is that tambourine and wig offer still good
