belsales wont teach you how to be a cocker tech, why not get a normal job like most young people. like working in a shop in town, or tesco or something like that. i cant imagine making a living off teching, unless you work in a marker factory, ie WDP/Eclipse or Belsales.

and if you're gonna be an angel tech, why are you wanting a timmy?

actually, no were not. You will make very little money out of gun teching on it's own. I suspect tom has another job and teching is something that he does in his free time for extra cash.

Like other people have said get yourself a real job. it'll pay better and that means you can play more ball...

Firstly I don't think that Quake or Riptide would appreciate that 2nd and 3rd on the list.

Secondly for one of only the few times in my life I have to admit that LJ had a good idea, seeing as WDP are one of only a few companies to provide teching courses in the UK and the one that certainly provide the most, wouldn't it be in your best interest to buy a marker produced by a company that does do tech classes?

After many, many years of teching a few words of advice, you are never going to have anything handed to you on a plate, you will have to work hard to get on in the paintball world. And to para phrase Tom and Stongle 'you ain't never gonna be rich being a tech'. Myself and my business partner Mark Harris have supported many events and on more than one occasion gone away from events out of pocket.

Even to get to the dizzy hights of where I am today I have had to put the time in, you may be lucky but with so few shops in the UK and with so little teching business your best bet is try your luck with site work and try and get into the more technical areas of the work, as even the most basic site guns still work on the same princibles as the high end tourney guns out there.

There aren't many people fortunate to work solely in the paintball industry, and to be honest if you do you wont be playing as much if you manage it. My full time job is managing a paintball site, and due to having a cracking pair of bosses I still manage to play quite frequently, not as much as I would like but still quite a bit. There is no way on god's green earth that my Teching business would ever be able to support me.

Just my 2ps worth you understand
