Perhaps if you slow down and think about things for yourself, you might find that people are more helpful.
If you want to be a tech, you'd better spend a bit of time thinking about what you are doing to people's pride and joy, because if you (mess) up, you won't be in the industry very long. This attention to detail is important and reflected in other things that you do... e.g. typing on a public forum (where prospective employers might be looking??? hmmm?)
Show some dedication, get noticed at being good at what you do. Then, let it be known that that's what you want to do.
