And to Blakey and crew i can`t belive you can`t make this decision without your committie, i think it`s a no brainer guys
Chris, can understand your sentiments but I don't think its fair at this stage to imply that all at RPS are not as upset and shocked as the rest of us about this incident.

Whereas Blakey obviously has a large amount of influence on the decision of the DC the process of deciding upon action relating to Sunday must be followed. A decision based upon a concensus from all the captains on the DC is a lot stonger that an arbitory one. I am sure, once the dust has settled that the outcome will be the right one.

I didnt see the rucus so I wont comment, just to say that any violence should not be tolerated, but both sides should be heard.

The team in question was Viper black, I havent got much experience playing these guys so cant say if this is out of character or not, but I will say I have never had a problem with viper gold, I think its important not to tarnish all the players because of the foolish actions of one guy.

I would like to make a full and formal apology for my behaviour at the Midlands Masters Paintball Tournament, at Team Spirit, on Sunday 13th July 2003.

Whilst I feel strongly, that my actions were in response to an unprovoked attack, both physically and verbally, made outside the accepted perameters of the game, I acknowledge that my behaviour was at the least a ridiculous over reaction.

Therefore a full and formal apology is directed to Mark Blakemore and the Midlands Masters Organisation, Mark Hodgkins, Site Manager, Team Spirit, the players and sponsors of Team Viper, all the players and spectators in attendance on the day, the referees, on the field in question (of whom I have the utmost respect).

Last, but not least the player who bore the brunt of my attack.

I am fully aware that I have, by my actions, put the event organisers in a very difficult position. No excuses can or will be made. I will therefore without question, or argument, accept any disciplinary judgement deemed necessary.

Sincerely

Simon Cole

Well done Simon.

I know what he did was questionable ( at the very least ) ,
but you gotta give it to him , for having the balls to come on
and face the music. He could of just stayed quiet.

I don't the history between you "TV Stars" and RPS Viper or your respective reputations, but considering one of your guys was close to taking things into his own hands on Sunday, because a decision went against you guys, I rather think the above statement is not totally warranted.
On the day, the problem dealt with and maybe some sort of misconduct rule should be put in force, whereas the organisers suspend that player from the rest of the days precedings.
Final judgement on any subsequent punishment should be down to the DC. Let it do the job it's created to do.
