Well I hope the commitee take into account the views of the people who play the Midland Masters, and from this thread it appears the guy should be banned !!!
I was watching the game, now I wont claim to have heard what was said, cos there were some things said between the guy getting mugged and then kicking off, but I can say what a disgrace he is to the sport, the series, his team, his sponsors and himself :(
I heard that people (his teamates I believe) were going round trying to get witness`s to be on his side, saying that the guy had dropped his marker before getting mugged, RUBBISH he had it in his hand, he may have thrown it down instantly after but not b4 !!!!
Ive played against some RPS viper teams and they always seemed decent peeps to me, but this has tarnished your rep guys :(
Oh and well done to the guy who did`nt retaliate, lets hope your responsible enough not to try and "get your own back" at a later date :)

Any bans will be nationwide but before we all start talking about that let the people in question put both sides of the case and lets sort it out from there.

Please everyone we do not want a trial by forum so just let it lie for know and leave it to the people on the DC.

and on a personal note to blakey and the mm crew bloody well done for yesterday and getting on the fields yourselves when you were let down by some marshals.

You wont catch me being so thoughtful:D :D
I think he has a point lets leave it alone for a while.

I cant believe it....

.....I've just heard who it was.
Frankly , Im more than a little shocked.

Blakey , when is the Committee going to get
the information through for this..??

..and any incidents from previous events.
I dont think we've had anything since the 2nd leg  ,
and I know there was at least one at Ancaster the first time
round , and also Stoke. We need to get these things sorted ,
and any penalties sorted , and try and put a stop to this.
NOW !!

It is getting out of hand.

Cheers , Rob.

Whilst i disagree totally ,with the actions of the players involved in this incident,i think everyone should calm down and let blakey sort this out along with the rest of the MM commitee,i`m sure he will dish out the correct punishment, and end this matter in a way that is seen to be fair by all.
I myself was marshalling the field next to the incident and had to enter field 1 because it looked like a full scale war was going to break out,and 10 players with 4 marshalls trying to calm them down was not going well, but things chilled and peace was resumed .
Now while i fully agree things should be done about this, the fight was not the major problem, the major problem was the damage this incident could have done to our people friendly aims ,on sunday there were loads of kids, girls, wives, friends watching the games ,imagine what sort of opinions they took away with them???,just supposing the MM was chosen as the first televised event?? [does`nt bear thinking about ].
It was a real shame because the event was a great day,99% of the teams played hard and fair, the weather was great, and blakey and the crew worked their arses off to make it a great day for all, just to have some irresponsible players try to mess it all up [which they did`nt ].
Big up`s to all the crew and you are doing a great job trying to bring our sport out of the woods.

look..........it doesnt matter if two ppl mugged him just as it doesnt matter if all of Panic attack had gone and mugged him at once. if there was a problem that the player had this is to be sorted by the field marshals. not with fists.

no excuse. i saw what happened and the guy thought about it b4 going and lamping him one. the panic lads could have jumped in and started a brawl but they knew they had done nothing wrong.

if this team/player stays in the circuit is he goin to punch every team thats better than him?

Could not agree more. I have nothing but respect for Blakey and the crew for what they have done for the MM. I also have no doubt in Blakey's ability to make the right decision as I hope the members of the DC will.

I think we are all calm - even on the day it seems as if many handled the situation with considerable constraint for which they too have my total respect. I think it is only natural that those of us who invest considerable time, money and effort in the sport we love have the space to voice our thoughts even if they become a little passionate every now and then.

Disapointment

OK guys everybody will have an opinion on this one, several of my team were watching and saw what went on. But all we are doing by complaining openly is forcing the outcome of the disciplinary commitee. Let them decide what happens next and we shopuld all abide by there decision, they are after all our chosen representatives who we all trusted in case of anything needing to be judged. Let them do the job that we put them there to do and not keep voicing our opions over thes pages.
Thats my two penneth for what it's worth.
