Or just one of a few hundred team captains of teas that played a NPPL event sometime in the last year? I wonder how many other team captains received similar emails.

2--Does it really matter how other leagues do it? After all, the MS and PSP are operated for the benefit of their owners but the NPPL is the players league.

PS--good voting plan!

Baca.

My entire first post was a joke..

But to answer your question, I think the email goes out to all teams that have played the series. Im not sure, but I think so.

I am of the opinion that all teams should compete equally, I see no reason why not. I know there have been idea's thrown around that favor Euro teams, but apologies, i don't agree they should get 'special' treatment. My argument is that I don't believe even the Euro teams would want this, as I think it diminishes thier acheivement. Am I right??

another thing. I don't know what it takes for people to believe that the pro division will be 18. But if any of you want to make a bet of any significance, I will gladly take your money.

One more thing. The natural thing to happen at the end of next year is for the 'Open Division' to be capped, likely at 24 or 36 teams. If Euro teams continue to dither and speculate, and do not decide to enter, they may miss qualifying for the Open league also, meaning next year they will be forced into an Amatuer league and have to qualify up into Open, and then qualify again if they want to go into the top 18. This is likely, although not decided. Guess what, the next year (end of '06) the Am bracket is likely to be capped....... Therefore, it is time for teams to make thier choices, especially teams like the Ducklings, Ignition, Hellwood, Russians, Strange, and any other teams who could easily compete in the Open division (all players are allowed to be Pro) and even in the top 18. In the Am bracket there would be a max of 2 pro's allowed. This is also the reason you will see many Pro's put 2nd teams into the Open class, as they fancy a 2nd team in the 18 next year.

After everything that has happened with the EXL this year, and the way the Euro teams have been treated in this, I am surprised you guys are being so loyal. Presumably this is because you believe in the format, rather than because you thought it was a great success. I think your NPPL choice is pretty clear. If you want in, get signed up. There will be 5 US events, there will be 2 events in Europe that count for points. There will be stand-alone Euro events. Your EXL choice is more difficult, you would first have to find out if there is going to be an EXL at all, which seems tricky to fathom, then you will need to know how many events there are, and where. None of this information is likely to be forthcoming until the answer to the first question is known.
I am, and always will be, a little biased, but I really can't see this as a difficult decision, no matter how hard I try.

By the way, the 2 new NXL teams are Dynasty (Miami Effect) and Russian Legion (Boston Red Army). You can have that one for free.

oh, and Comrade Loco, am I mistaken or did Magued shoot you down in flames?
As usual, yes, you're mistaken, and, no, Mags didn't shoot down anything except your drunken advances.
Seeing as Magued was originally responding to the post copied below I think it's quite clear neither he or you ever addressed the questions.
In fact Mags even stated he was only joking. Perhaps you were also attempting humor?

Speaking of player's leagues have you seen the 'View' in issue 189?

And while I'm at it how come you keep dodging the tough questions?
Oh, I know, you can't manage a straight answer to the easy ones. :p

I believe that the NPPL is holding a meeting for all team captains in HB soon (I am sure the details will be on nppl.tv).
If you want your say you may be better saying it there...

I understand that the final details on format and so on are to be discussed and the teams are to have thier say (those that can be there anyway). Would seem to indicate that they are a players league after all.

So if captains contact the NPPL the NPPL will make arrangements to get the captains to the meeting, right? Awesome, ITN. Is there a limit--like you had to compete in x number of events or something? (Otherwise that could be hundreds of teams.) Did the NPPL lay the groundwork for this meeting by sending the captains an outline of the subjects to be discussed and some ideas on the future direction of the league? What's the procedure for the captains or the team reps to vote on various proposals?

Has there been an announcement or press release about this? What does "stand-alone events" mean? Can series points be won at such an event?

A lot of people are wondering about anything and everything with European PB for next season. Is there any confirmed or verifiable information about NPPL's plans in Europe for next season? And how judging and rules will be handled?

Your kidding? I guess Dynasty could play in the NXL now that they're allowed to play anywhere they want. And Boston Red Army has to be a joke.

comrade loco, the reason I have not answered your questions about San Diego is simple. I have no idea what happened, or what incidents you are refering to. Not really my area. So I can't really shed any light on it, sorry.
