Oh My Gawd, Madrid update (well sorta) :-

The hole that was dug that is now forever going to be known as 'Madrid' is just getting deeper and deeper and guess who's got the spade, his name begins with 'P' :)

Customer care reaches new levels as a major sponsor is told to get off the site and take his paint with him for daring to ask for two doors to be opened in an attempt to keep his paint cool.....
Way to go muchacho !

If the Millennium are to be in any sort of position whereby they can resist or negotiate when the NPPL / PSP combine come knocking later this year, they better sort this sh!t out soon otherwise all is lost.

So any info on which supplier has been kicked out, and whether they are going to get reimbursed their 5 pallets or whatever the current rate is for being able to supply paint? I can think of at least 2 paint suppliers it won't be!

Liz, he didn't get kicked out in the end as another one of the Board got involved and the situation was saved from deteriorating.

So they actually realised the problem of banning a supplier mid-tournament when there are sponsored teams in attendance who have to use paint supplied on site. I wonder if that had been thought of in the first place?

It would still be interesting to find out who it was though, and whether it was down to a brief loss of temper or games being played to damage a rival ;)

Well I know who it is but he asked me not to say his name but it wasn't really games being played as against bad customer care being displayed.
This person just asked for a simple accomodation and it was met with a rude and intransigent response.

Maybe he didn't pay the open doors fee?

On to the event:

- good reffing in the games we've played / watched

- NO NETTING in the crono area of field 1 (the CPL field, used by 7man teams this morning).

- Big fright (and bang) when an air tank exploded in the player's area. Some guys have been midly injured, nothing major, luckly.

- Heat, nothing too uncommon for this time of year

- No scoreboard on the CPL field
