yeah, so 2 teams say marshalling was excellent yeah...then on another field 2 teams dont put forward the marshalling on this field was crap...whats happens then it cant be improved because no body knows!!!!! therefore there MUST be critiscism otherwise improvements cannot be made because if someone says something is excellent why improve it???

What?

I give up!!! :(

So suggest ways to improve it!

Telling an organiser this or that is crap doesn't help.
Suggesting actual improvements does.
We had a problem at the MM last Sunday and spoke to the field ultimate and event organiser and suggested a solution. It was adopted with few people noticing the change and the problem didn't re-occur.
Bitching about it after the event wouldn't have allowed the organiser to resolve the problem until the next event.
None of us are perfect and few of us respond well to negative feedback (as this post will no doubt prove:) )

M25 Whats up people!!!

Firstly, I have no connection with sparklie or the M25 league.

I thought the event was great! the best mini millenium ive ever seen in the south.

Bad Marshals? we/tigers had no problems all day with Marshals. All you guys come away from the event sit down and moan its the english paintballer way never happy, jes! dont you guys remember Temple you were lucky if you even had more than 3 marshals per field!

Ok so their were some minor problems, but hang on, their were a hell of a lot more ups than downs. Sparklie has taken on a sh$t job no one in their right mind would touch and had to pay (£6000 loss) for the privilege to do so, I think the moaners/players should know better.

So what if Sparklie just say's F%ck it i aint gonna pay to be moaned at and i for 1 wouldn't blame her if she did. Now if that did happen who do you think would really lose out Sparklie goes back to playing paintball and running her site and no more lost money's, WE the players/teams on the other hand go back to............NOTHING (GET IT)

What this series really needs is

1) More Trade stands (something you can all help with by spreading really positive feed back to the industry).

2) Less idiouts freaking out on the fields and shoting signs etc etc etc(again this is down to the players)

3) Less moaning!!!

Here is some answers to your problems

MARSHALS do you think you can do a better job are you even willing to try? if so ring sparklie! (Stand up or shut up!)

FOOD Get your mum to make you a packed lunch or something

HARD PAINTBALLS Tell it to the teams using it or the people who produce it or get better at paintball and ya might not get shot in the first place! (If their was paint so hard it was going through netting or bouncing off scaffolding, should we not be exposing this brand? what brand was it? what team/s were using it? Did they win any games? will they use it again? Will they be allowed or even want to use it at the next event

Come on Guys be positive, credit were its due. That does not mean great event BUT, try and think before the buts who and what you might be hurting!

K m8 fair enuff.
All of a sudden a paintball comes thru the netting (yes thru the netting) and hits your little kid coming out from being swimming in the eye. Are you then gonna tell me 'Oh she was only doing her best'?? cos yes it was me who had a paintball hit me square in the back of the head and no it didnt bounce cos the ball broke and it was a hard hit. And dont start saying oh paintballs do break easily maybe one came over the netting. Cos these paintballs werent even breaking on concrete when u thru it on em.
What we are trying to do is point out the negative aspects of the setup. We even got asked by sparklie if we liked the event so far and we all said yes. Now if thats not positive input i dont know what is. Mate we werent playing that day, but we were looking at things from a crowds perspective.

All i have left to say is:
Improved Events = More teams playing = More cash flow

After all money is everything these days in the world of paintball.

This might not be an easy solution but get teams to use paint that breaks on impact.....

I am not saying that you should say nothing, what you should do is tell the organiser ''simple'' this is all you can do to improve the event/s
What exactly are you trying to achieve by coming on here and keep bitching about it?

Ok so the green netting has holes, they either need to use double netting overlaping the holes or black netting. ok so thats done nuff said.

Concrete paintballs: I am also concerned about this, but i do not see how this can reflect on the standard of the event! You will do more good by trying to answer some of my questions in my original post/s on this matter, when you have done this, tell sparklie so she can talk to the team/s and distributer/s of this paint and try to sort this before the next event.

at the end of the day...the concrete paintballs may hurt...but if they dont break on you...then u have a huge advantage and that team has a huge disadvantage!!!

I might be wrong in saying this but ur question simply was why are u guys moaning about the event rather than praising it. Well i already answered that we told sparklie it was a great event, now were pointing out the improvements which are needed to be done about it. Ok improvements:

1) Make sure the netting touches the floor or openings at the bottom are blocked by sandbags.
2) Check the netting for holes and cover the hole either by doubling it over or finding some method of blocking it off.
3) If there is scaffolding in place make sure that peices of scaffholding are taped or blocked off from little children walking into them.
4) Inform diablo as you know them very well to supply a thin shell thickfill. Cos its the real solid stuff that widens small holes in netting cos they dont burst or break.
5) Have an anouncement system over a mike saying team blah blah to field 4 NOW!!!! extra to keep games on time.

As for the marshalls they were doing their best next time round they will be more alert and listen to the players more. And yes if your own team member shoots you your out. Another thing if we get there early get the marshalls over to John sosta to have a little talk about X-Mags.

Other than that i have nothing else to improve. The event and field layouts were sweet.
The only thing i would ask for personally is a double snake field. Like you have your normal stand ups and to the left and right snakes which start from the 25 and finish at the 75. Thats a sweet layout for any front player.

Visit site
i'm sure sparklie is aware of the areas that needed attention and i'm sure she will take note of peoples comment both good and bad but there is no point in arguing about it so why not sit back respect the fact that everyone has there own opinions and look forward to the next leg

My most sincer thanks to UNREAL for making M25 happen!

This is my first post since M25

Guys I would like to offer my thanks for all your help.

With out your selfs I sincerly dout M25 would have happened.

unreal mY site team worked their arses off to make this happen.

You came down to train to find a half built site and spent all day laying out feilds, netting things you name it.

Lots of people let me down some more so than others But any one who enjoyed any aspest of M25 has these young men to thank.

I can't fault their attitude they won't even let me pay them for all the work they have put in.

After a hard day buiding the site and not a lot of sleep bearing in mind I was on site at 5.40 when the teams started to arrive they still started again sunday moring.

I am extreamly proud to be associated with all of you and can not begin to thank you enough.

I hope a training feild now avalible saturday will beings to show my heart felt thanks.
