The P8ntballer.com Geek Alarm just started ringing in tha mods coffee room - now, what seems to be the trouble here?
You know...besides, having HEARD...that Farscape and Stargate may be linked (not taht I watch)...I heard that Kappalanche were done and dusted you know..terrible state of affairs...im sure Ed Poorman will come through it tho....

Ok here's the deal :-
Ed is gonna sell the team and the spot
Dave Baines was targetted by XSV and was made an offer an offer he couldn't refuse..what's not clear is that it may have been a two pronged approach, as everybody knows Dave and Glen Takemoto are joined at the hip and everywhere Dave goes...Glen is gonna follow.
Since Glen is in South Africa at the moment, don't be too surprised if he too makes an announcement on his return to the US that he is going to XSV.
Once Dave said he was going, others in the team declared they were off leaving Ed with the choice of starting again or selling the spot, he chose the latter

Sorry if this has been covered elsewere or im completely off the mark but......doesn't that mean there's atleast two spots being sold (seem to remember reading somewhere the tigers are selling theirs ). Any word on who might buy in? Legion prehaps?

Depending on who you listen to, anything up to 7 places are up for sale at the moment.
It is unclear at the moment exactly what the NPPL's view is on the selling of spots - we've heard of four team owners making tentative enquiries to buy from various teams, but nothing hard and fast yet.

The NPPL spots that looked so secure at the beginning of the season ain't looking so solid an investment.
Sergey will only buy in if he decides to run a second team and he hasn't made that decision yet as he will not allow his XBall team to play 7 man again.
As I said in another post, I think 7 man looks somewhat vulnerable at the moment and until things begin to firm up, then I don't think you are gonan see any mass stampede to try and snap up either the Tigers or Avalanche's NPPL spots.
And if they do go, then people ain't gonna be paying much more than $20k for them, leastwise in my opinion.
