£100???

Where? Who? When?

Jeez - I get enough people laughing at me anyway, if I'd have known I coulda got paid for it while I was there! That's two cases of Zap I could have unloaded into the garlic plants in sector 3!

Plus I could have got an even bigger photo into PGI and made Goatboy weep with envy :p

Why do you lot have such a problem with rec players getting some coverage? Do you think you're more interesting to read about than they are? Or are you just a bunch of tourney snobs?

What???

Pgi were offering 100 squid for brits at NvS and no takers. I don't blame them really.
Does this also mean that Master Greg Myers also got paid I do Hope so for making up that work of fiction.
And Mr big says that there are 50 yanks who love this section for every one of us that doesn't.
Just goes to show there is no accounting for taste.

And no I am not a tourney snob in fact I have only just moved out of the recball scene after 12 years playing in the woods.

dude

tha kid didn't get paid anything...and he's a kid man, he's gonna exaggerate. Some guy came over tha top of his bunker and did him - by tha third time he told tha story the guy was in mid air. Christ, talk to half tha Pros and they'll describe moves they pulled off that they way they tell em, warp tha laws of space and time.

And so some paint took down a twig, or maybe a dead branch that was gonna come down anyway - you weren't there man. Maybe it happened, maybe he added a little color to tha facts...

Jeez, you're crucifying a kid you don't even know! Chill out...

I liken it to picking up a magazine on rally racing, and then finding an article covering a gent goin' on about driving his station wagon back and forth from the grocery. Alright, that's a bit severe, but it's similar. Something a lot of us miss though, is the fact that PGI isn't a tourney magazine, it's a PAINTBALL magazine, so like my pal Darkwerks always says, "if you don't like it, don't read it."

See thats better a good old flame from Mr Lambini:D

I aint crucifying the Kid I'm just trying to ask if this section of the mag is at all relevant.
The majority of the people who read the mag have got to be tourney players, and how many of the rec-ballers own their own equipment?
All they like to do is book a day, turn up, play with rental gear and go home and count the welts. They don't go out and say 'Hell that was fun I'll go buy a paintball mag now' no they say 'Ow I hurt lets go down the pub and drink the pain away'. Even when a rec baller does by their own gear when you ask them if they read PGI they say 'No its full of americains playing on bouncey castles'
Lets face it the majority of recballers would prefer to read a survival mag and learn how to build a ghille suit then read a mag that has only a few pages that would interest them. So do the articles belong in the mag?

Man, that just shows how

out of touch you are...a recent survey in the US had Paintball as the fourth biggest extreme sport in tha country, just behind mountain biking...kids over here have got tricked out Cockers, an Angels and **** and they play rec.

You noticed how many pball websites there are selling stuff now? How many magazines? How many more ads there are, how much bigger tha mags are?

And why is that? Cos tha marketss going crazy.

Take Kingman...who exactly do you think is buying all those Spyders dude? Cos it ain't tha tourney guys...and Kingman is shifting thousands a week.

No disrespect meant, but your last post shows that you have no concept of what is happening in tha world of Paintball dude, none whatsoever...
