Clearly if this is likely to jepordise future events like the M25 and Cmpaign cup then things need to be sorted.
An independant test would be great but to be fair would need to be performed on several different batches of each brand. I doon't wanna think how long that would take to conduct...

I'll do it..........got five weeks to kill until term starts, I'm a science teacher. Anyway..............come on then, start encouraging your sponsors to send me some paint (60 balls, 20 from each of three batches, so It won't be getting used and I've nothing to gain) and i'll get them tested...... I'll post results as soon as I get them.
If theres interest in this, I'll post up the exact tests i'll do........
Any takers?

He he.
Not an ideal number of batches, but the only way it's going to get done this season, plus it will give us an idea about which paint it is.
Wasn't advertising my credentials. Just meant that as a science teacher I have lab access and time to spare, plus no connection to the industry.

Jose the mad scientist to the rescue me thinks its agreat idea of his!!

The thing that gets me is everyone is saying pink paint stains well judging Sparklies posting it isnt the case it also green orange and even blue that is leaving stains and the like so something needs to be done!!

And by banning just one colour for tourneys isnt going to solve the problem!!

At this rate we will be shooting clear paint just to be on the safe side

P.s We use wdp's pink fill and have had no problems with it staining

Lets go for it. Jose, is there some way you could work together with PGI and get your samples? This is the answer to the thread and no one seems to be taking it seriously.

What do you say PGI? Fancy helping us out with a problem?

P.S. Also think that this is the way forward. Instead of people complaining about it lets all get some paint over to Jose and get it checked out :) If you got nothing to worry about a bit of independant testing should vindicate the paints that have been 'accused'.

i sudjested something like this a while ago......best idea i thought of was at the next tournie you are at get somone to walk round and ask all the teams for say 20 balls, what brand they use etc

and also get contact details for them all.

test the balls and also contact all the teams to see if they had any staining that day

do this at a few tournies and you should have the culprit!

Problem with this approach is that different batches need to be tested!
