dunno about draxxus inferno or hellfire since i dont know when i have been shot by it :)

I doubt that crystal palace will let us back next year if we leave big pink blotches on their astro turf pitches, or on their walls.

It's not really about players shirts, it is after all Paintball as you said.
The stained shirts thing is an anoyance more than anything else.

Paul, i'm waiting to hear back from Naill if it's an official no pink paint thing, or if it's a gentleman's agreement sort of thing.

It's very hard to keep track of staining paint, because it's used and accepted in the states, where a lot of this paint is used; or manufactured to be used.

Another thing, these pink stains seem to stay in certain types of fabrics, any shirt made by FurySports with white or yellow on it seems to stain, and Dye jerseys apparently are prone to it too. It might account for folks saying they use certain types of paint in practice, and not having it stain, while other teams complain about the same paint staining. i dunno, maybe?
Possibly, obviously the main point here is not to jepordize the use of the stadium.
I wear a Dye top for practice and underneath my playing top in tournies and have no stains on that at all....

Sean from A few good men PMd me to say that their yellow dye top were stained by pink paint at the last M25
it seems unlikely that pink paint would stain a black or red top, hense you may not have noticed any staining.

The only paint ive seen stain, and stain bad is Hellfire.

But still it come's out after a few washes, admitably it stains your skin for a while though

You will find the top teams use this thicker paint as its a lot harder to wipe off. Its more expensive so its bound to be a thicker fill.

Cor blimey, I wasn't expecting quite so many replies, but there ya go.

Going from the start of the thread:

Sam: I don't suppose you know the name of the team you played at lunchtime do you?

Paul: I was wearing a playing top on Saturday, so yeah, in general, it's a top I expect to get paint on. I do also expect the paint to wash out, however, like all the paint that's gone before. I paid enough money for that top in a particular colour and pattern/style - so I look like the rest of my team. Now I have a (albeit very very slightly) different patterned top to that of the rest of the team. Heck, if I'd been playing and take three or four hits, I'd have had a "sup'air cammo" pattern top.

I'd say maybe to make it more spectator friendly there should be an "exclusion zone" for X-amount of distance from the fence - but then it's safer slightly closer to the fence (away from all those balls that come looping over the top ;) )

I have to admit, I did "sex-up" (to use the governmetns terms ;) ) the thread title a little, I know that pink paint won't be banned, as pink is a nice bright colour, and it's easy to see when it bursts. I had a large blob of another pink paint on my top and white t-shirt (from wiping a hit off my car) and that paint washed out perfectly straight away. I have a feeling (from recognising the consistency of the fill) that the one that washed out was pink marbellizer, but I can't be 110% on that ;).

As for what to do in the big picture of things - maybe the tourney organisers in the UK could put together an open letter to all paint companies, asking them to ensure that their paint is non-staining, and to not supply staining paints?

Naill is still talking to the paint companies, so the issue still has to be decided regarding Pink Paint.
However, i would like to point out that any paint that does stain, is not permitted in any Millennium Series event. We certainly don't want stains all over crystal palace, unless you want to go back to playing Campaign Cup in the field behind the site!

I'd say, to be safe, try not to get pink paint. If you ask your supplier about it, they should be aware of the situation, and be able to supply you with paint other than pink.

Ok stain damage so far
Marquee they are resorting to bleach now and have finnally calmed down

tables

lovley new RP Sherer / Power Ball feild

WDP feild was blue and white now pinkish and blue this started at reading and yes we cleaned them properly and wiped them down between games.

Cobhams the managers son's Tshirt

The concrete floor in the changeing rooms you were staging in. Now decorated in fetching pink and calming green not!

Mrshals and players tops and towels from now on Im only buying black ones!

My dads car were baller kids were throwing paint at it and no hes not best impressed:(

At least one pink paint burns grass to brown and leaves pink stains.

We have also had orange stains and green ones.

M25 is a non staing paint event now this either means that the teams don't care or far more likey no one has tested their paint.

We are all responsible, as organisers we don't want to leave the general public with this impression of our sport. As players surley we should be shooting paint thats fit for the purpose ie will break and not so hard its bouncing off scafold or though netting and won't stain.

I truly wish that the paint manufactures are reading this Im am sure it will be an inconvenince but surely in the long term its in all our intrests to resolve this issue.
