i play for 2 rugby teams so does that mean im an atherlete and if all my paintball team plays rugby that means there athereles to and if a nother paintball team all play rugby and my team plays there team in a paintball game that means were all playing a sport

Well you could ask the Sports Council that, as they don't class it as a sport. But then again they are a bit like Equity in that way - it's not recognised as a sport unless it's on our register, and it can't get on our register until it's recognised as a sport.ollgeeze said:I dont really see how there is an argument, by definition it is a sport.....
Thats for political reasons though, you cant say its not a sport because it hasnt been recognised as a sport by some bigwig in a suit, by definition it is one, if the definition were "an activity recognised by the sports council register" then youd be right, but its not....
whats the point in calling it a sport when you cant claim the benefits that a recognised sport has
I claim plenty of the benefits, it keeps me fit, i enjoy myslef, its challenging, it gives me an urge to do better... I dont think the esscence of the word "sport" revolves around how much media coverage something has, otherwise youd be calling countdown a sodding sport.
No but with the backing and funding paintball would take a huge leap, making it better for you, me and everyone else
