does anyone know of any headgear as russ has indicated. not the vents set up, but sort of balistic armour that fixes onto the mask, similar to the gear the guys use on crossfire.

Is there anything stopping all these pads having some kind of hard outer layer, like metal, but more flexible? surely that would solve the bounces problem and keep the "Sandy Astroturf" protection as well.

I was told that the original concept for the JT proteus goggles did include full head protection so if some one could trawl the web and find a pic or two !!!.
