Im like Polyfilla I fill cracks
Protection

everyone whinged about having to wear face plates covering your teeth...then they moaned about ear protection
goggle makers developed them till we dont even notice they are there.
Arm pads used to be worn on top of you clothes now they can be worn underneath...but this is set off by more brittle paint and softer faster firing guns....so we probally get less bounces now than before...
But players with all this protection could argue that they dont feel the shots causing them to play On (read that anyway you Like)

Im bald and I dont wear anything on my head so thats choice I know the dangers and choose Comfort

As was said, dosnt have to be a hard hat, could wear a soft type hat. Both will stop you getting hurt.
How about a Mountain bike type thingy.. Shouldnt be to hot, and would provide more protection that a baseball cap? Look funny as well!!!!!

Yeah, Nutz, but how many of you Chesire boys play in hundred degree plus weather? Sock-hats and beanies are pretty-well out of the question for many of us.

What happened to Vents anyhow? Scott bought 'em out, and promptly killed 'em. Those were, by far, the easiest things to breathe through... ERGH, dang those Scotts guys. By the way, Buddha, the head thing they had was pretty silly looking.

And full head protection, well I've been dropped by some Polar Ice hitting me dead-top-center of the skull before, and this was with my beanie on. But at the same time, I've also gone down from getting zippered up my chest. Yeah, I went to bunker a guy right in front of the bunker he was actually in..... uh, anyhow, I think we'd have to have some data showing this as a necessity, everyone's already grumbling about the current protection rules. Hell, I miss playing in shorts, and I'm not clear why we need to be in long pants, but I do it without too much fuss. On the other hand, I think a helmet rule would be a much harder sale.

Alright, Russel, what brought this thread on?

I heard that Scotts bought the rights to Vents BUT didn't get the marketing rights to reproduce them.

For those who dont know, Vents made a goggle system with full neoprene head and neck protection and comfortable with it as well.

If i'm wrong can anyone correct me on this and if i'm right then there must be a legal way round this hicup.....FOR SAFETY SAKE!!

Yeah, they looked pretty stupid.
Not only were the Vents easy to breathe through, they also had a real buckle on the strap, so you didn't get your beanie pulled over your eyes when you put on your goggles.
Come to think of it, I still got a perfectly good pair somewhere in my attic, tucked away with my trusty Renegade (read: SmartParts) cammies...

Uh, put your mask to your face first, THEN pull the strap down the back of your head..... Brainiac.

Bud, now that you mention that, I think I've heard someone say that before (possibly you?), but that still doesn't make any darn sense! No, I'm not bitter.
