adding my bit.

i was really impressed with it. fields were really nice and closr together, and didnt have to walk miles from the staging area, air and the chrony station werent to far away either. i have been to the 2nd and 3rd d7's and both times looked at the fields thinking how small they are, then played them and thought they were wicked! altho as others have said, a small series or complex of bunkers would be cool.
food was pretty good.
i didnt have any problems with marshalling, but thats cos i got no bad calls against me.
the only other obvious problem, which cant really be helped. is the toilets

i would be more than happy to be a marshall if a few things were changed, such as rules against arguing to a marshall. i think even a raised voice is harsh, marshalls work their ass off doing their job to the best of their ability, i dont think they need anyone else making a problem, also, only field captains should be able to talk to the marshalls after the game regarding calls etc.

yeah i agree with your points Jon as im tempted to marshall the next one as i need the cash.

but i wonder if players will get pissed when u 1-4-1 them and if needed 2-4-1 and so on for arguing cause soo many players should of been disaplined for their actions.

i dont see why you guys are all pissing yorselves. d7s is a good event. its is a hard job being a ref and anyone who tries to tell you different is lying. you get the crap shot out of you all day and shouted at by cheating players who think that if they shout loud enough thay will get away with playing on. nice one guys.
all the teams out there looking for extra cash why dont you ref an event. ten player= ten refs @ £50 a day. hey we got loads of free training paint. think about it.
5 refs per field is enough. who remembers the temple?
The field have got smaller so we should lose the amount of refs. but for all those cheaters out there we are having to pay higher entry fees coz of you boyz. thanks

you southern boys really need to come up north and see what a good event really is. however, the d7 guys do do and awesome job and i really enjoyed the 2nd round. they just gotta work on some areas, which is the same for every tournament organiser is the country....

Marshalling field two with Tom Tom, Joe and the others I had only seen 2 incidents that could be construed as cheating, other than that, the players themselves where quite honest(well done guys).

It was a hard day, and as Tom Tom said some mistakes where made. But this happens at every event you play, from Pa,D7,SWPL to NPPL,MM etc We are all human.

Life would be so much better to get top marshalls to these type of events, but they cost a crap load of money, that at the end of the day it just would not be financially viable to run the tourney.(I may be wrong)

Just appreciate that you guys had marshalls on the field, even on field 3!!!

And the burgers were great by the way, yummie, went down very well.
