We will only use sheilds for the marshalls on things like snakes as they get shot to sh*t and have to stay still.
As for the rest of us we will run through lines of paint to look at a player its part of the job just look at the euro 5 man dvd we are getting the sh*t shot out of us its just the way it done..
Looking forwards to marshalling you all...

This thread was supposed to be about suggesting ways the D7's can be improved so far all that people have moaned about or talked about is the marshalling.

The D7's is a quality tournement and already said the only one in the south.

Leg by leg the tournement has got better and better so why dont we see what the next one brings?

not sure if this has been said already but what about a team only area that u need passes to access? ok so the entry fee will be a little more but an area for the teams and a couple of guests will mean less chance of theft, i went to the 2nd leg of the dartford and i thought it was awesome, such a great to watch and all i can say is keep up the good work :)

Although a player only area would be nice i don't think dave could do it as he is not allowed to build permanent structures on the site. The only way i can think of doing it would be that type of mesh fencing that sticks into the ground with a gate and a security guard but that would be expensive and impractical as it would make getting to fields much more time consuming. Any ideas on protecting our kit would be welcome though.

big big titties
i think pitting out of cars is MUCH safer. just look at campaign cup, players passes were needed to enter, yet a load of people including a mate got in trouble free without passes. my mate only realised after i told him.
also with players areas, there is more than one entrance. entrances can be created in marquess etc:(

Another trouble with secure player areas is the one we've had up at the MPAL. Great - secure controlled area so only players and their approved helpers can go.

But WHY can't we have extra "guest" passes for the wife/girlfriend/3 kids/ my 7 mates from uni who want to watch/ the guy who wants to buy my marker/the guy I met down the pub last night? OK, so the last one we haven't heard but all the others we have. Major complaints by teams because we only allow registered players plus 2 guests into the secure area (remember that anyone regisatered for a MPAL team can use their players pass whether playing that day or not, so don't use up a guest pass).

I can see exactly the same thing happening if we do a proper controlled secure staging area at Dartford.

Somehow I don't think anything short of locking you £1,000+ marker up in the boot of an alarmed car is going to stop stuff going missing and even then it is best to make sure it is insured incase someone smashes your window or something.

Many teams at Dartford bring a gazibo or similar incase it rains I guess and to keep the sun off, and then lock the car or van when playing, this makes marker stealing much harder.
