ooohhhhhh. what to do with you youngsters, hello deary or whoever was merely illustrating that here in Blighty fully automatic weapons of any kind go against the laws of the realm.

but i don't really think it matters that much does it???

not worth disagreements anyway. so how did all of these people become the mods anyway???
1. Yes, that was tha point, wasn't it? Why would that impact upon someone in Chicago's thinking? You've hit yourself over tha head with nunchuks too many times...which reminds me, please lose tha sales pitch from your sig.

2. Not really, no.

3. Divine intervention.

I expect a report on my desk in the morning....

I have money burning a hole in my pocket and as much as it pains me to even think of giving the evil empire more of my money after my previous Smart Parts debacle, I'm finding it dificult to think of a reason not to get an Ion as a spare.

PS. What colour Ion are you getting? I was under the impression that the first ones available will be black only. Are SPE still charging a retarded amount for shipping?

£10 pounds for shipping, and ive ordered a blue one, plus theres a 10% discount right now so that basicly pays for the shipping. :D it was the videos that sold it to me, there are two different ones if you look hard. im glad someone esle feels the way i do, beginning to think i was crazy.

done.

anyway back to thread (again) i quite liked the look of the black one with a silver freak and grey grips on it. i just though it looked good.

if it shoots anything like a shocker i will have one as a backup.
well done to smart parts, you could very well have cornered the market there. i mean if anyone is just starting out with £150 and thinking of a spyder or something else, i feel they would be best advised to save an extra £50 and go for the ION.

Fat bob's = £202 delivered. Mine should be here mid next week..nice blue one to go with my impy :)

Reckon these will be a good, cheap backup that don't mind a bit of use and abuse....waiting on that aftermaket alu body though....stock it does look a bit fugly.

The feedback i've read so far seems that they're a better alternative to the blowbacks of the recworld and that they're more for rec use than tournament...then again, if that slightly controversial BPS ramping tourney rule does end up getting passed the rebound mode will rock.....

Lots of good reviews on PBreview too....

ok so the latest, ive decided sp couldnt organise i piss up in a brewery, so ive gone to my friendly local paintball store and im picking one up on monday. i have tried one out and you can beleive the hype this thing is mental, well made, looks much better in the flesh. im not exadurating when i say this thing is going to change paintball and im a little scared, i dont know whats going to happen or whos going to survive. someone hold me ;)

dont know what else to say, the guys at the store had just come back from the site and had been tring it out and apparently even with rainbow paint it was accurate. it balances nicely and feels solid. i realy cant beleive they are selling its for £200. couldve easily sold it for two or three times that. makes you think how much markup there is on other markers.

i get the impression that smartparts have tried to make it seem cheaper, with the plastic body, and a new budget barrel, and reg, etc. but i think you'll find the quality on this is comparable to anything else out there. i just think they were trying to stop people wondering why shockers or nerves cost so much.

Sell you markers now theres a storm brewing!

edit.... Pump'n'Splat: i dont think there are any blue ones coming into the uk for a couple of weeks acording to sp europe, just do what i did and get a black one, and if you must have blue get a new body, £30 ish.

Ok I have seen plenty of people stating half truths and whole lies so here we go

the whole gun is plastic, trigger frame and all
Not true, the gun is powder coated not anodized so it just looks that way, powder coating is cheaper therefore cutting costs and dust black looks fine. the only "plastic" part on the gun is the shells

why impulse threads
most probably for these reasons
1. SP has plenty of imp threaded freak kits they wanna get rid of
2. so do other people with imp barrels

the body is plastic
Not true, there is an alluminum core with POLYMER (hard plastic) SHELLS like on a hopper. Great idea, cuts costs and customizes your gun much easier. Who wants to pay 150 for an anoe job when you can pay 30 for some shells?

there has to be a catch
why? Think about it, dont anodize, powder coat save money. Plastic shells, dont have to anodize em or spend time cutting the aluminum or running a cnc machine. break beam eyes arent expensive neither is a board. People dont realize how cheap it is for a company to make a gun, do you honestly think an ripper 2 timmy should sell for 1600 when the gun cant cost more then 150-250 to build?

what air can the gun run on
can run on n2 or co2 (with anti siphon) but n2 is reccomended

wats up with the board and the 17 bps cap
Have you ever seen a gun shoot a true 17 bps? Yea, thats fast. You cant run through a 15.4 string yet alone 17. Plus now PSP you cant shoot faster then 15.4 anyways. Rebound mode is ridiculous and legal. Super fast. Full auto and 3 shot burst are capped at 10 bps. Rebound and semi are capped at 17, rebound is adjustable though to be capped at 13, 15 and 17.

the reg is plastic
no, its not it has a rubber covering that can be removed and changed, again save money anodizing and customizing giving you the user more customization for your gun which is what we all want.

efficency
smart parts claims 1200 shots of a 68/45

what board
uses its own board

the weight of the gun?
compairable to a shocker, about lbs. If you think thats heavy quit paintball

what feedneck threads
impulse, why? same reason probably with the barrels

is it spring return?
no

what boards are coming out
talks of a WAS board soon

Taken from pbnation:rolleyes:
