Give the circuit board a gentle push from underneath (inside the grip frame). The solenoid and hoses should then come away with the body, giving you access to the Air Banjo Fitting on top of the grip frame. Unscrew this and the whole lot then comes away. Then follow the instructions for dissembly in your manual.

Hope that helps.

I took the ION for it's first outing today. thought i'd post the results.

The ION is even more of an "out of the box" marker than the impulse ever was. Screwing in my bottle to the armageddon the marker gassed up, reading about 160psi on the reg and was ready to go, no fuss. The first thing you'll notice about the marker is the weight....it's feathery light. Having a 'geddon strapped to the bottom doesn't really help but even with that added it was still lighter than most except perhaps the EGO or some of the more recent Angels...firing true agg gangsta stylee from the hip is a piece of the proverbial!

2nd thing is the minimal kick, a teamate commented that you seem to register the kick as an afterthought and it's just not there, the tiniest of tremors under your hands.

At the chrono it was reading 260fps +/- about 8. I think if I could've been arsed to play with the 'geddon and vert reg that could've been improved upon, but it was good enough for a day's training. I had a freak barrel fitted and with the freak (or probably any decent aftermarket barrel) the ION was stealth quiet. There's a whisper as you fire, but it has to be one of the quietest guns i've ever heard on a field.

It's small, compact and is a breeze to run and shoot with.

Air efficiency isn't perfect, but isn't any worse than an impulse..I went through a box of paint today on four 3000psi 1.1l fills, so that's 500 shots per fill at that pressure.

And breaks...what breaks? eyes on, the ION happily drills through hopper after hopper without blinking.....One box of paint later and not single break, I'm not kidding...it's the first day i've ever ended a session with no paint on the bolt or in the breech and no paint in the barrel. The barrel was as clean and polished as when it went on at the start of the day, no word of a lie.

I'd suggest this marker to anyone who was coming into the sport and wanted a decent, fast, easy to use marker with the features of something better than the usual. well, no I'm talking Bo**ocks, i'd suggest my impulse first....but that's 'cos I really need the cash! :p......

And secondly i'd reccomended it as a backup. (which is the reason I bought the ION in the first place) I can see tourney players up and down the country having an ION sitting in the bag waiting to be oh-so-easily put to use if a main gun goes down....they really are the mutts parts.

(Oh, and rebound mode is The Business!) ;)
