Paul, the post you quote is a tongue in cheek one and can readily be interpreted as such but Manike's cannot, there are no smiley faces, just insinuations and if you want further proof of where Manike is coming from, or rather his intentions, ask him to send you a copy of the email he sent me, and if he doesn't I will send it to you, just so's you know what he's up to in all this.

Liz, his regsitration date is academic, the timing of his first post however is not !!!
As for Manike's intent, you are more than welcome to request a copy of the email he sent to me to assuage your doubts.

I sent you that e-mail to try and defuse a situation and keep it from being aired.

Rancid, that is why I also went back and deleted out that small part of my post.

I have e-mailed everyone who is interested a copy of the e-mail I sent you pete, they can read my comments for themselves. Unfortunately they can no longer read the posts you deleted.

I have no idea who IcyHotstunna is. I don't care either. Maybe there are lurkers who only decide to post when they see something they disagree with? What does it matter?

Paul, I thought Ices' comment was irresponsible too, but I don't think there was intent there; manike certainly meant something by his comments and I have seen exactly what he meant by reading his email.

Rancid, my original post wasn't completely innocent, it was just to point out a possible different side from a point that Pete was using. Pete used his point to say one thing and I was saying it might say something else also. That's debate and opinion?

As you can see from the e-mail I was happy to remove it and stop this flame up that did happen.

Please note that the flame up didn't happen until after I sent Pete the e-mail looking to try and avoid it!

I too have read 'that' email and am sorry but I don't really see the problem! For the most part I see Manike talking about a friends view on Russian Businessmen and the general view of them in the country, (much like we have of lawyers or mechanics for example) I can see how it may look but only when you know about the paintball connection. If you see what I mean?

On a side note I like Manikes contribution to the board and hope this thread doesn't go as far as the last one where people get banned etc..

Paul, well I don't like it and don't agree with your benign interpretation, why mention all that **** if there is no connection with his initial post ?

He has done this before, opened his gob and libelled somebody, it's no use him offering to take it off after the **** hits the fan, the damage has been done !!!

With no disprespect, I have forwarded this email to some people on this site and they feel the same as me, so I don't feel too bad about disagreeing with you.

I didn't say there was no connection between that and the iniital post but I still say the mail supports the view of Russian bankers in their country!

Lets say for example that I was a top lawyer and my paintball team was getting a name for being 100% clean etc but there were the odd rumours flying round, see where I'm going with this?

I don't mind that you disagree with me either! wouldn't life be dull if we all agreed with each other 100% of the time?
