reason I asked that was, as I previously mentioned, Bullets had oli and pete with them for norway and training beforehand. Their result a couple months later in Malaga - 6th place - was a big improvement over their previous results. And if they didn't have the two pros playing with them for Malaga, we can conclude that the Norway was a worthwhile venture for them with long term benefits.

Baca. So what IS your opinion if, as you say, you haven't given one yet?

Understood it, just the way you contradict yourself. You say they did it the right way, its the same as the GFH. They just trained with them as well. Your point sucks... its not even a valid point..
if fact, I don't even know what you are moaning about, what we talkin about again?:p :p

In Baca style

1) show me what 2 statements contradict each other.
2) The whole point is that what Bullets did isn't the same as paying for a couple of guys to play one tournament as GFH have been asked to do
3) a small "just" there - paying for 2 guys to visit your country for 2 weeks and train you for 4 full days before playing an event together isn't really the same as covering entry fee and meeting by field one at 8:30. you obviously think it is.
4) you are either 12...or Glen

:p

Fine. Here it is. In the big category there is no such thing as sandbagging. Competitive events and series have rules. Any action that isn't a rules violation is okay, hence it's impossible to sandbag or, for that matter, introduce ringers in the negative sense of the word.
However, it then becomes incumbent on event and series promoters to make very clear precisely what the competition is all about particularly as most such events are not open events.
So, if bringing in GFH to play doesn't violate any standing event/series rules it is plainly OK.

However, if there is any uncertainty or room for manuever in various rule books--or players or teams simply don't bother to read them--you end up in situations after the fact of peeps whining and moaning about this, that and the other thing. And, in advance of any issues, if peeps would express an honest opinion now it might prove not to be a problem later.

duh.....

Irrelevant of what it cost, how long they trained, when it boils down to it, it's the same thing. They are getting better players to play for them. Take away all the bullsh@t around it, thats all it is..
And I am 12...:p Glen..

The GFH lads have stated that they would be willing and able to help with training, there in itself is a big problem. Not many teams in the UK do "Training" some might call it training but I bet there are less than10 teams in the whole of the UK that actually train. So the GFH guys have offered themselves to be there at events coz if you don't train it's the next best thing or in some cases the best thing.

how about...
If a div 2 or lower team has a pro or 2 guesting with them, they have to playing one division higher for that event? Be good experience for them anyway, to have a bit of extra pressure put on them along with the extra help and guidance from the pro

I think it's cool

In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team.
